image End of November 2020, I contacted European Rolling Shutters to have shutters installed for my windows and sliding glass doors. I met with a sales rep beginning of December 2020 and paid a downpayment of USD 3,500. I was told it would take around three months for the turnaround time and until the installation date.
The installation occurred from Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19, 2021. The construction crew did not have one conversation with me even though I worked from home. I tried once to say 'Good Morning' to them, but it took them some time to even respond to me even then. It was a weird atmosphere.
When I checked Friday evening, I saw they left an envelope with an invoice of USD 22,125.38. There was no final walkthrough to check if everything was completed, and they didn't even tell me that they left.
I told the sales rep that there is a discrepancy between the invoice I found in an envelope at the house and the one he sent me later via email for $36,561.46.
I made him aware that I submitted a request on Friday evening for my bank to send me a check for the amount in the envelope, including a checkbook with blank checks, and I would let him know when either of them arrives first. However, I'd have to cancel the first check request due to the discrepancy and request a new check from my bank for the higher amount.
I also told the rep that Jose and Augustine never talked to me while on-site, and there was no final walk through to go over problem areas.
The crew installed solar shutters but did not mount the switches on the walls for each room but instead placed a remote in one window for all three windows without the original box, the hardware that came with it so it could be mounted or any instructions. This happened for four areas in the room while we should have received seven switches for each solar shutter mounted next to the other switches for the room.
In addition, the workers placed the drawstring box at different heights in the living room, which looks absolutely unprofessional. The windows are the same height, but the strings for the shutters are now at different heights.
While I have been waiting for a final walkthrough and to get these issues fixed, the sales rep started contacting my renters behind my back. He asked both for the money. One of the renters was intimidated into paying USD 2,000.00. When I found out, I let the rep know that I had to cancel the check request again and request a new check for the new amount since they had taken USD 2,000.00. What happened then was that they refunded the USD 2,000.00, resulting in me having to request a new check again and reissue a new check pushing the wait time further out.
However, all the rep was spouting about was that he wants his money while ignoring the issues of the crew and that there was no final walkthrough to fix the problem areas. My blank checkbook arrived before the requested check since the amounts kept changing due to their unprofessional behaviour. I ended up writing a check. Nonetheless, three months have passed, which was their waiting period the first time, and still, the living room windows are not at the same height, and no switches were installed for each solar-powered shutter. I guess, as long as they got the money, they don't feel the need to do a final walkthrough and correct the errors.

Our sales person - Rodrigo went above and beyond excellent customer service! He is completely engaged in making sure the installation was perfect. The installers arrived promptly on time and worked without stopping for lunch to make sure the installation was completed as promised. They were very respectful of the patio area and professional at all times.
Their work was PERFECTION!!!!
I highly recommend this company, I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to family or friends!

Rodrigo arrived promptly at the schedule time, he provided a detailed presentation of the product and installation process. Not only is he very knowledgable and well versed on the various functions of the awning, he was very patient as we selected fabric color.
We had an estimate and a rendering of the awning immediately following our appointment.
I highly recommend doing business with ERS, Rodrigo - his professional demeanor and no pressure approach is very genuine.

Their products are top quality and manufactured right there in San Jose. The best part about working there was helping people solve their shading needs. You may have a deck that's too hot, or a room that gets too cold, so you never use it. Call ERS and they will help you.
