    I highly recommend you book your wedding planning/coordination with Glennie and her team! They were so responsive, accommodating, professional and just on top of everything. They helped execute our day and made sure every detail was exactly as we wanted it. We hired Calmerin to be our day-of coordinators but they were there for us and involved weeks in advance. Making sure they understood our vision and knew exactly what we were hoping for. They are incredibly organized and detail oriented, and brought today our perfect day. Thank you Glennie and Jess for taking care of us and our wedding!!

    Hired for my small backyard wedding. They were friendly and sweet. I was so disappointed in their communication skills. Glennie was quick to reply via email but our conversations and planning would have been better suited via phone call and Although I knew I was only using them for a few hours that day, I provided them with all info they would need since this wedding was a reschedule and they still failed to coordinate with my vendors in a timely manner even though they had their info for months before hand. I made it clear they were only coordinating my ceremony which was 3-4 hours long including set up, ceremony, and take down and they contacted and messed up some of our reception plans- the part of the wedding they were not involved in and that I had meticulously planned myself. My bridal party and family didn't receive the wedding day schedule until 11PM the night before the wedding. They did not call to confirm the details of the day with me before the big day commenced which resulted in them accidentally canceling our wedding party Transportation leaving us stranded at our ceremony site and late for the reception- among other various mistakes like set up lay out. I had 20 guests total and they put out 40 chairs, tables in the wrong place, and played the wrong music after being pronounced husband and wife. Great and genuine people as human beings, was just disappointed in the lack of communication which resulted in some major errors on things that I was assured would be no problem. I wouldnt mind a couple mistakes here and there as perfection is unattainable but these errors were big ones for me.

    Glendale (Glennie) the owner promised a lead planner and two coordinator assistants and use of a generator in case of power outage. Two weeks before wedding day she ghosted us. We were first told by the assistants that the lead planner would be at our Wedding Rehearsal and TBD for our wedding. Then her assistants told us that she would be at neither event due to over booking. Then the assistants told us that neither of them could be at the wedding rehearsal because of a wedding conflict. Then they told us maybe an assistant Jessica could attend. During all this confusion both assistants admitted that they were only made aware during our phone call two weeks before the wedding that they would be running the show on their own. Through all of this back and forth we requested by email and voicemail that Glennie explain what is happening so we can get clarity on what services would be provided. There was no direct response received from Glennie at all even after multiple requests for a quick call back for an explanation of their promised services such as having three people at the wedding to work a complicated flip from ceremony to reception. None of this would be delivered though promised by the owner. Jessica did her best to provide excuses for the owner starting off with she is over booked, to she is out of state, to she is sick, to she is in the hospital. This was all in one conversation. All this time Glennie was communicating with her assistants despite being possibly all these things but she refused to call us. Her Instagram was actively posting through all of this of the weddings she was currently working. In the meantime we kept getting reminder emails to pay the balance of our invoice. That due date we did not pay the balance and ended our services and kindly asked for a refund of our deposit. In response we received a curt email from Jessica that no refund would be provided and she referenced the no refund clause in the contract and sited services they had already provided such as contacting vendors and creating a timeline. Note that their contacting vendors was not needed because it was duplicative of my work also the timeline they created was incorrect and unusable. In addition the Google sheets they used kept referring to a bride and bridal party when we are two grooms getting married. It was tactless, inaccurate, and plain useless what they did. Regarding the assistants, bless their hearts, my fiancé created detailed floor plans, diagrams, and build guides for our coordinators to use to understand how the flip and wedding should be produced. Jessica was lost in these floor plans and did not know how to read a map or understand how to use a legend on a map. She had to rely on the DJ to explain things. When we asked her for questions all we received were meaningless promises to execute without actually demonstrating that they had digested the information. I had to specifically say that "you can promise till the cows come home that you'll look at our plans but if you have no questions or comments that means you haven't done your work. Please study the floor plans and send us your questions ASAP." Bottom line is that wedding planning is already stressful but to add a vendor that ghosts late in the game and over promises but doesn't demonstrate their ability to execute. That is unnecessary stress I would never want on any other wedding couple. Please avoid this company and the people who work here. I do not want anyone to experience the terrible experience we had with them. Only one week before the wedding, after cancelling with Calmerin we decided on a new coordinator. She was upfront and honest about her resource needs to execute our flip. It may have costed additional but at least she communicated it to us. It turned out our flip required the help of 8 people total. That was something Calmerin never recognized or expressed concern about. Our new coordinator provided solutions instead of shirking responsibility or ignoring challenges. Most importantly she was responsive to our requests and communicative.

    Glendale and Cathlene were exceptional to work with for our wedding! I am an event planner myself, so I might be somewhat high maintenance when it comes to someone else doing event planning for me, but Glendale TRULY made me feel like I was in great hands and I honestly didn't have to worry about a single thing for our wedding! She and Cathlene reached out to all of our vendors and even our entourage before the wedding to ensure everyone was on the same page, and then on the day of the wedding, they worked their magic and made the day FLAWLESS, literally! I didn't have to worry about anything knowing they were there. Everything was set up perfectly, every vendor did everything according to plan, and we had the most amazing day thanks to our incredible wedding planners. I highly recommend working with Calmerin Designs and Events for any of your event needs!
