I have mixed thoughts about this agency. These services are critically needed by so many women, and men, who suddenly find themselves out of a job, may be feeling shocked, wounded and obsolete and need to interface with others who find themselves in a similar situation; want to find another job/make a career move; desire to improve skills; rewrite one’s resume; re-hone interview skills and move forward with a positive perspective and manner---because it is daunting out there. The job market has changed rapidly from a one-on-one situation to an isolated, email/post one’s resume online market.
This agency could do better by its clients on many levels---most importantly customer service. First of all: Listen to them/us. Second: In concert with the first, be understanding, sympathetic/empathetic and take the time to encourage. We all have different stories and varied abilities to deal with crises, and need a smile, a kind gesture or pat on the back, that things will improve—which will only make the client feel better and possibly smile in return. Third: Be succinct and follow though with what one ‘promises.’ Fourth: Most importantly communicate and be responsive in a timely manner when a client reaches out for help, with a request or with questions. I have hope this will improve...
