If I can give a 0 star I would. Completely unprofessional. I'm new to the 209 area and was looking for a good salon to get a haircut at. My cousin reccomended me this place, after looking through the pictures, I really liked the work they do. I went to go book an appt and wasn't showing anything until July. I messaged one of the employee's, who is a stylist at the salon, to see if they may have anything sooner. Instead of replying back on Instagram (where I messaged her), she proceeded to BLOCK my account. A simple "no we don't have any bookings" would've sufficed.

I had a first time appointment with savauna. Im more than willing to admit I went in with already compromised hair. I was previously blonde and had Demi permanent brown color on top. And was wanting to go back blonder. During the consultation she never asked for pictures of goals. Only said she could do a balayage or all over. I told her I was worried about my hair health but she assured me she would be careful in the process. And I trusted her because I thought she was a professional and knew what she was doing. So she proceeded to do a full bleach. She foiled my hair, never checked on the foils until I asked how my hair was going and she checked and said good. The bleach on my scalp was uncomfortable which I did not know would be the case. She seemed hesitant to rinse it and asked if I could bare through it. At the bowl I could feel my hair being ripped when she was brushing. I asked if it was okay and she showed me a huge hair ball. She toned my hair twice (never asked me what times I prefer) I prefer ashy. But she just did her thing. When I went back to the chair she turned me around and blew dry my hair was so fried it was barely drying and it looked like a fried broom stick. She knew she ruined it. She still charged me $300 (gave me a free olaplex mask) and apologized. But I left in tears and spent money ordering hair oils, treatments, and extensions. She fried off about 50 percent of my hair and I already had thin hair. I cried for a few days, my confidence is shot, and my hair is ruined and will take years to grow back. I called the salon and spoke to a manager who basically gave me a rushed oh no Im sorry but savauna is her own boss so not much I can do except talk to her. So warning to anyone would not trust her at all. I wish I could go back in time and never went to her because I would have half if not more of my hair back. Hope the tape ins help but sad its come to this. I feel completely insecure and embarrassed of my hair breakage. Its short, fried, broken and see through all the way up to my chin area. Unacceptable
