image We had a horrible experience with these guys in January of 2019. They gave us the cheapest bid over the phone to move our home but jacked the price on moving day. It was basically one Caucasian team leader who directed 3-4 non-English speaking Guatemalan young men. We honestly could have rented a truck and got the same level of service from day-laborers at Home Depot. They charged us an exorbitant amount for what they delivered. It was also very strange to give them a detailed inventory of your ENTIRE home over the phone. Of course, no one will be 100% accurate with this and that is one of the ways they "adjust" the price when they get to your home the day of the move.
BEWARE, they charge a lot for the mediocre service they provide and genuinely do not have the customers best interest in mind. Service: Packing/unpacking

image BEWARE: this company has you sign a simple straight forward quote before they arrive and then on moving day they show up with a lengthy and complicated contract that you have basically no choice but to sign. We hired a 3 man crew to move out 2 bed/1 bath from the marina to Potrero hill. David, the crew leader, tried to pressure me to sign for a $1,500 limit and work over 8 hours at 1.5x. We had even moved all our small boxes (over 50 boxes) the day before so it was really just furniture and clothes. I refused to sign for more than 8 hours and $1,000. This is when these guys started moving slow. Of the 3, 1 was always standing around or having a cigarette. I complained and they told me to take it up with the office - which I did. This really set one of the guys off. He was profane and aggressive - telling me I had made a mistake and that if he "wasn't on parole he would f me up." At this point, they had half of my stuff in their truck, a signed contract and my credit card on file. So I decided to manage through it - what else could
I do? David then announced to me that they would be closing the truck by noon (they arrived after 9) and that I would have to figure something else out for anything not on the truck. In the end, they quit at the new house after 7 hours on the clock. They left many boxes on my porch and refused to arrange the boxes or furniture as we wanted. As I was paying, the guy who had previously threatened me was ranting and raving in the street - swearing at and threatening passers by. I ended up back at Uhaul with a truck and a couple laborers to finish the move and spent all of the next day arranging things in the new house. They did give me a $300 refund but it isn't nearly enough for the extra cost I incurred or the horrendous experience I had. NEVER AGAIN.

image This is the second time I've used Ninja Movers, and I was very happy with their service. They moved me seamlessly from Dublin to Santa Rosa, and each location involved walking a bit to reach the apartment door and stairs.
Booking the move was easy--Monica responded quickly via email, and we followed-up by phone. She was knowledgeable and helpful, and she made me feel comfortable amid the stress of moving.
On moving day, the team arrived during the time period we'd agreed upon, calling me in advance, so I'd be prepared for their arrival. David, Lezowa & Ivan were all very professional, kind and helpful. They worked efficiently and helped me out with the bits I still needed to pack, and they carefully armored my furniture and lamps, which needed special packing. When we got to my new home, they placed things where asked to make my unpacking easier. They were very attentive throughout the process, and I can't recommend them highly enough. And because they were so efficient, the price was quite reasonable.
Thanks, Ninja!

image Horrible experience with this company with a move from CA to PA.
Not only did they misquote us from the start they also delayed sending out our stuff across country and used unprofessional middle people who were quite rude to me upon arrival and delivery of our things. Many things were missing when they arrived and they even tried to deliver things to us that were not ours. If I had not been there checking things during the delivery, the delivery company would have just left other people's things with us. Also, both the packers in CA and the delivery company they hired tried to negotiate with me to use cash and save money on the spot, and even talked poorly of the company they were representing. This seems quite shady. Both the packers and the delivery company implied that Ninja Movers never gave me an option of saving 10% by using cash, but only the people they "hired" or sent gave me that option. Of course, I didn't have several thousand in cash on me at the time?? We have filed a claim only to hear that Ninja Movers were suppose to tell me of a cash discount. We filed a claim through the company that they told us to use after they told us we had to wait 3 months for them to attempt to locate our missing things. After the claim was filed, we heard nothing for month and continued to check in. Eventually, the claims company got back to us to tell us that Ninja Movers dropped them as their claim company and then we were left with no alternative to use to process our claim? Now I have been contacted by a new company that claims they have taken over the OLD company? They offered me $50 as a settlement and that is it? I said this is not okay and that we would speaking to a lawyer. They came back and said that they could not offer us $100 as a settlement? Nope. We lost a lot more in this company and honestly, they should be SHUT DOWN for this type of behavior. We spent over $5000 with them and expected our stuff to be treated properly and within the time frame that they indicated. Sure, they gave a $50 discount for bring quite late in delivery, but that is it. They basically lied to me several times on the phone telling me that our stuff was literally being put into the moving truck as we were speaking on the phone? This company is BAD BAD NEWS!
