ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I have been living here for over 5 years and things have never been as bad like they are today with this new management (RICO in specific) The property management sends multiple emails about the parking situation, repeatedly expressing that we will get towed instead of providing actual solutions to the problem. The only response they have is that there is guest parking but the guest parking has a time limit and some neighbors fail to respect that.My sons car was TOWED for parking in the front so we parked down the street where it was STOLEN. ALSO The elevator is barely working only time will tell until it stops working again.IT BREAKS MONTHS AT A TIME. The two doors (that residents use to walk through on the side because they already have to park very far away) do not work either. Definitely take that into consideration when applying here. These are not any new problems, residents and myself have been trying to solve for a long time and it seems magament does nothing about the issue we are having.

The building has completely gone down hill. Weve had both elevators broken (took months to repair), elevator half fixed so its a death trap rocking and dropping when in use, holes in the ceiling in the lobby, security gates are all broken so anyone can access and cant get out in an emergency.
The 10 months weve lived here has been terrible! Weve had endless issues since day one! On move-in, while unloading we came in to turn on the AC on and within 30 minutes our entire bathroom had 2 inches of water because the AC broke and flooded the bathroom. Then we noticed some discoloration possible black mold in the kitchen, and when we voiced concern maintenance was sent up to paint and cover it up. Almost 4 months later after getting regional manger involved a supposed mold inspector came, but all they did was use a device to check thermal and moisture, but didnt open anything up and test for actual spores. We were also told before moving in that our carpet would be replaced and it was not. When we got in it was dirty, matted down in spots, and in terrible condition not to mention, there were huge hills that we were tripping on of loose carpet. Their solution was to come cut the carpet and re-pin it down to tighten it. Within two weeks of being here we have an infestation of sewer cockroaches and silverfish bugs. Its on going and even with three professional pest control companies coming out and telling them its a structural issue and that theres nothing more they could do and that its a health concern for us to keep having Poison sprayed. Weve had pest control out over ten times. They have them do these extensive treatments where we have to unpack our entire kitchen and bathroom, which is in total of three day process over and over again of unpacking having to be out of our house for hours at a time and then coming in and re-packing so that we could function in our home. They are still insisting on having more treatments done. Weve started waking up with bloody noses and sore throats on a daily basis. We have a one-year-old baby who weve woken up to holding a cockroach in his hand. For three months little to nothing was done as there is a new manager Rikko who does absolutely nothing except argue, and tell you the same thing over and over just in different ways. He doesnt answer the phone and I physically have to go down to the office where he has his feet kicked up on his desk doing nothing. Weve gotten into an argument over the concerns of the pests and them not taking it seriously. Hell put out the Clock saying that hell be back in the office soon so that he doesnt have to deal with residence. Ive been outside of the office watching him calling and calling and he just watches the phones with his feet up on the desk laying in his chair and stays in his back office unless the female leasing agent is in the office then hes outside of his office talking to her. Every resident that we become acquainted with has something negative to say about him and how he handles situations. Absolutely nothing started to get done until I start emailing to document everything and Oscar he rm got involved and wanted to actually offer solutions, but Ive had little to no contact since our initial conversation. Our air conditioner completely took a dump on us and maintenance was again sent up and told us that if he didnt see the issue and that a vendor couldnt be called out. We were left without AC for over a week before being offered a portable in the dead of summer. They finally took us serious after pestering and replaced our AC unit once a vendor came out. Were still living in uninhabitable infested conditions and things are just being brushed under the rug continuously. No one is taking it serious and I have to stay on top of each and every person to get answers or anything. We were put out for several days 7 months after the flood from our move in day to have flood damage removed and replaced in the restroom. We still have bugs. We have to seek legal action to even get a response to emails

We rented an apartment at Sofi Topanga Canyon. We were guided by Rico, the leasing manager through the whole process from filling out the application to being approved and moving in. The process went seamlessly. It was a satisfying experience and Rico was extremely helpful in making Sofi our new home.

I like the location, and used to love it here, but the past few months since new incompetent management arrived this place has tanked. Elevator out of service for over a month with no continued communication of when its going to be fixed. The northern access door has been broken since i can remember. Want a warm shower? Good luck. Spotty water temperatures. Maybe if management is replaced or they get their act together, this can be the great community it used to be and can be again. But for now, if you're planning on moving here, dont.
