image I initally had my car loan with this bank and recently got a personal loan. I now have a checking and savings account. Every interaction with this bank has been more than positive. They're always so nice and helpful. I'm so happy with this bank.

image Really not sure why theres so many bad reviews. Ive banked with them for about 7 years now and theyve been great to me. Theyre responsive when you message online, theyve given me good rates on loans and their online portal is easy to use. I have pre approved loans or a credit available at any time if I want to sign up which came through perfectly during a time of need. The ATMs are inside every 7-11, but the only thing I dont like is you cant deposit money at them and the closest FPCU branch to me isnt all that close. Luckily I can deposit at any Schools First which is nearby my house, so it all works out well for me.

image This review is for one individual in particular whose name I do not know.
I had a very baffling experience today when I decided to pop into my local branch to ask a few questions on the status of my recently deceased mother's account and mortgage. My mom died at the end of March from a rare cancer and having just gotten back from France, I'm juggling the transfer of all her assets into my name while also planning her funeral alone as I have no siblings. I have never owned a home before and I am totally new to this process so obviously I am not some sort of escrow and estate expert.
I was approached by a man (I refuse to call him a gentleman) who turned what should have been a simple inquiry into a clown show of epic proportions. I have no idea what his problem was, why he felt the need to speak to me as he did, and honestly I am too tired and too sad from my mother's unexpected death to care all that much. But this man treated me like a criminal, interrogated me, loudly, in front of the whole branch so that people were staring, acted like I was some sort of hoodrat scammer trying to steal my mother's house, even when I had proof that I was who I said I was. All I wanted to know was what I needed to do to speed up the process, where we were in the transfer of her assets, and what else I needed other than her death certificate so that the home can be fully transferred into my name.
What really offended me was this person deciding to tell me that my mother's death was not shocking, that it "wasn't a big deal" and that everyone in the world goes through this, amongst other insanely insensitive and asinine comments that came out of his mouth. Again, I am not sure why he felt the need to give his unnecessary opinion on this, or why he was acting like I stomped in the bank and demanded everyone stop drop and roll to help me. I JUST ASKED A SIMPLE QUESTION. And at 28, most people do not lose their parents from spindle cell sarcoma, a rare cancer that the average person has heard about (including his dumb you know what). Most people do not have to fly halfway across the world from Paris to Brea to deal with their beloved mother's death, alone, in the middle of their senior year at university.
I have a lot I could say and most of it is not appropriate to post here. A man attempting to belittle a woman in a bank for God know's what reason is the lowest of the low in my opinion. Why did I get more answers from the virtual teller than I did this clown? If I wasn't still grieving, I probably would be way more angry. Instead I just feel very sad at the state of humanity and the depths that some people will go to to feel better about themselves...

image Will charge you extra overdraft fees if your account goes negative. There are better credit unions out there that actually provide over draft protection. And can actually explain why they are applying fees.
