Patrick came and looked at our pool and where the water was to be drained. When he came back to do the job, he didn’t have enough drain hose, even though he had been out before. He said he had to go to his storage shed and get more hose. This took 2 hours. He came back and joined the hoses and started the pump and then said he was leaving and would be back the next morning. What? So we were supposed to monitor the process for him when we’re paying him to do
It? I went out after he’d left and discovered he had joined the second hose with tape instead of clamps. Needless to say, the joint failed and flooded my two sheds on that side of the house. That was bad enough, but then he didn’t answer his phone or the voice mails we left. I also called him on 2 other phones he didn’t know were ours. At 5 O’clock he finally returned my call on a number he didn’t know was me, and of course claimed he didn’t get our messages. I was naturally terse at this point. Next thing I know he’s rolling up his hose and says he’s not going to do our job because I “hung up on him”. Not true! He never apologized for what happened. Then he starts arguing that my cement is sloped the wrong way, towards the house instead of away from it. Again, not true, as proven by the fact the ankle deep water never reached the house, only the sheds on the bottom of the correctly sloped concrete. I pointed out that even if it were sloped the wrong way, that would have nothing to do with the fact his carelessly joined hoses came apart. So we were left with our pool 1/3 drained and spent all afternoon pushing water with construction brooms. Stay away from this moron!
