I called to book an appointment with an orthopedic specialist and was very clear that I had been referred to IMS orthopedic for a consult with an orthopedic specialist by my primary care doctor. Their scheduling is shared between their orthopedic and family medicine practices and they booked me with their family medicine department. I had to get up at 6:00 to be 30 minutes early for an 8:00 appointment and had to take time off work and they scheduled me with the wrong doctor. The medical assistant didn't bother to apologize, but did throw the new lady in the scheduling department under the bus. Its your responsibility to make sure your staff is properly trained. What other areas are your staff under trained in?
