My original post was magically removed. I cannot rate this company lower than one star, but I wish I could. In a nutshell, I was given the cash to close amount two days before closing, but the day before closing, I received a call telling me I would need $8,000 more to close. Needless to say, the deal fell apart and I am still struggling to get my earnest money back because the of the incompetence of this worthless and unethical company. After threatening to complain to the AZ Dept. of Insurance and Financial Institutions, I finally received a denial letter after requesting it for three weeks. If you want to get screwed, go with these liars.

Update 7/2/21 @ 3:17pm. Andrew Lemon sent out an email to my realtor that we had requested our loan to be canceled with them. I never spoke with Mr. Lemon today. When I tried to email him I got a message saying he was out of office. This was at the same time he was sending the email to my realtor. This company does not care about the clients and what their games do to people. Update as of 7/2/2021 @ 12:04 pm. No one at Fairway has reached out to me as they replied to in my comments. I reached out to them to get my appraisal file and my loan officer and the branch manager ( the 2 people handling my loan) are both on vacation. Tim Potempa Fairway Independent Mortgage is not a company you want to work with. They keep increasing our loan amounts. Originally we were told closing costs would be 10-12k. They are now at 25k and with one week before closing they told us they would need 4k more and that this includes the 6850 we already put down for deposit. Our 149k cash to close is now at 162,850. It's blackmail since they knew their employee was promising numbers they refused to back. I am only giving them 1 star because I can't do 0.

Refinancing my house was such a simple smooth process with the Potempa team. I’ve never met a company so dedicated to their clients. They surely go above and beyond to make the process effortless. I will recommend them to everyone I know I wish I would have met them sooner!
