My father doesnt speak English which makes it more difficult to communicate, didnt bother to offer an interpreter. All nurses will simply tell him Im sorry, English only.
Medication management is terrible.
My highest concern was when my fathers blood pressure was 196/112 ( extremely high) taken by the nurse assistant, tried again it was 157/100. I told the assistant if i could speak to his nurse , never walked in, I go up to the nurses station and ask her if she was aware of his blood pressure and she says yes it was 146/96. I then said NO, I physically saw and noted what it was. She said she would take it manually, took about 35 minutes to walk in the room. At this point my dad was sweating, shivering, feeling numbness. She took around of vitals and says everything was fine, no fever, sugars were fine, bp ok. 15 mins pass i go up to the nurses station AGAIN and address my concerns; that his covered in sweat, feeling numbness, tingling in his face and having difficulty breathing. She then tells me shes going to call the doctor. 30 mins later, walks in and says shes calling The paramedics for possible Stroke & needs to be taken to the hospitalOnce the paramedics got there, none of the nurses bothered to be in the ROOM to address what was going on.
4/6 paramedics that were in that room told me that place is one of the worse places!
See how we are here and not one of them has come in to explain whats happening. They often let their patients DIE.

I was admitted at diamondback for 15 days. Had back surgery. I would like to tell you about my great experiences at diamondback. And of course not leaving out the 1 bad apple. I'm going to mention some names after I tell you what they're about. Diamondback staff including nursing, CNA, therapy, activities are into caring and into showing progress with us patients before going home. Making sure they will be able to cope at home with all the tools needed. I learned a lot from diamondback staff. I was in bad shape when I was admitted at diamondback, first thing I saw was smiling faces. Next day the assessments on my goals to achieve in the next 15 days. I give credit to everyone, people in the office, nurses, CNA, recreation because if we have a sad day, Rachel and Breagan will cheer us up! The social workers assist with whatever tools needed for discharge and are there to help throughout the way. Jimmy admissions, if it wasn't for Jimmy, I don't know how to Google & I wouldn't be here at diamondback. The occupational therapist, Dale, Roberta, Sarah are all beautiful people who care about us patients, they're knowledge is passed on to us for a quick recovery. Physical therapy including Janiece, Eric, Heather, Jason are all awesome therapist!! I hit the lotto when I was admitted to Diamondback. The nurses out there are wonderful, knowledgeable & skilled, Lisa (Nurse) was the first one that I mentioned of the bad apple and she took care of the matters. That no one else go through any bad experiences. Sherena also sweet and kind making sure I was feeling okay and Morgan as well. The CNAs Maria, Elizabeth, Emilio, Sal, Federico are fantastic CNAs always there tending to my needs. I engrave these names into my memory because after having some awful experiences and surgery, they made me feel like I was the most important person in the world! & to all the people I did not mention, they all deserve credit to make diamondback the place to be to get better! Thank you so much everyone!

All rooms are private with nice furniture and a large TV.
The gym for PT/OT is large and has updated equipment. These professionals are attentive and focused on assisting you to meet your goals for discharge.
The food is good and if you don't like what is served there is a variety of additional choices for the meal.
