Buyer BEWARE. This builder does not honor their home warranty agreement. I’ve been trying to have them address issues with our new build, under our home warranty, for 9 months!!! They give you the run around and ultimately stop responding to emails. I’ve even emailed the CEO/owner multiple times and he doesn’t seem to honor his companies agreement or stand behind his work. That’s not how you treat people or do business.

Fraudulent company with shady and unethical business practices (DEREK JARR). I bought a $750K home from this builder and I had a punch list of warranty items for them to address. We kept on them with over 100 emails back and forth for over a year and a half. They gave us a run around and had four separate employees came out over that time and kept promising work to be completed. They now have folded that part of their company leaving us with the bill. Derek Jarr is an unethical business man and I want to be sure to help people from getting into the same troubles we got into.

7 years after the purchase of our Green Street remodeled home, we are still engaged in costly repairs that were difficult to discover during final home inspection. Disintegrated pipes under the kitchen slab ($50K in repairs). Pipes never connected behind walls. No shower pan installed under the tile in our master bath, causing massive mold and water damage, resulting in full replacement of the shower. Improper driveway grading resulting in a flooded garage. Stucco applied to the entire exterior with no wire layer, resulting in chunks falling off after a couple of years. And much more. If anyone has an idea on how to pursue legal action after seven years, please advise. Assuming we are past the statute of limitations. How I wish karma catches up to Derek Jarr and his minions.

We purchased a home from Green Street Communities approximately four years ago. Just before Christmas we noticed water puddling in our garage. The water was coming from the water softener closet, so we had the equipment checked. It cost us $80 and the water softener equipment was not the problem. Within a day the water flow increased substantially so we called a plumber, who discovered the cause of the problem to be a nail in the pex water line. The plumber explicitly stated that this was an error caused during the construction of the home. The nail punctured the water line but didn't leak until the nail rusted four years later. Since the nail puncture occurred during the construction of the home, we called Green Street numerous times to request that they reimburse us for our out of pocket cost ($748) and to remediate any mold, replace the insulation and repair the drywall and baseboard damage. It took Green Street over a month to contact us back at all after multiple attempts to contact them on various dates and times. After waiting a month for any sort of reply, all we got was a "No" via email, despite requesting to talk on the phone multiple times. They would not take responsibility. We were lucky that the leak was in the wall between the pantry and the garage and that the water leaked into the garage instead of into our living area where the damages could have been substantially more and the living conditions miserable. We are very disappointed in the poor customer service that we received and very disappointed that Green Street does not stand behind the workmanship of their product.
