    I have been frequenting this Cost Cutters location 19th Ave & Union Hills) for many years (when Cindy did my hair and was the Manager). There are new owners who are trying to turn the place into an “upscale salon” Update…It. Is. not. It is an average neighborhood shop. The current manager is Sage. If a superior attitude, inflated ego, apathy and rude/poor customer service are the requirements he has an A+ in all four. On the plus side, I must say that Alexis is a great hairdresser and pleasant to be around, I am not high maintenance but I am particular. Alexis has always done my color to perfection! Unfortunately, today was Alexis’ day off, so I decided “reluctantly” to try Shawna. A. Big. Big. Big. (did I say Big?) Mistake. “Your hair color notes are not in the computer” she says. I tell her the shade and she insists on another shade… “No, that won’t work for me” Then she proceeds to tell me that the prices are going up “again!” (blames it on new owners) Okaaaaay…. Then says my hair is too ‘damaged’ to proceed with the service. Whaaaaaat!?! I am a hairdresser myself. Licensed in 1978. I only use the finest products from the beauty supply and take excellent care of my hair. And, I am a great tipper, btw. My hair is not ‘damaged’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ Clearly, she didn’t want to work that day, just sit on her cell phone because she turn a haircut away to another day! What a huge waste of my time. Thank God, I can do my hair myself but the point of having it done today was to take something off my plate so I could finish packing for my trip to Kona. Rude. Unprofessional. Poor Customer Service. The list goes on… I’m sure I dodged a bulletin because Shawna literally didn’t know what she was doing or talking about! I will never return. And neither should you. Bye. Bye Cost Cutters! 👋🏼
