Overall great experience Quickly got a consultation and surgery date Dr Alexander was very knowledgeable and confident I would have great results I no longer need to wear a hat and I am able to style my hair not even my barber can tell I had surgery It’s been almost 7 months and it seems like I have more hair everyday Surgery wasn’t terrible only discomfort I had was receiving the numbing shots in the same spots multiple times Recovery took about a week with swelling occurring days 2-5 and was back to work in about a week After about 4.5 months I had enough hair to not wear a hat anymore and haven’t looked back since Very happy with the results

Dr. Alexander seems okay but his staff provides the worst customer experience I've ever encountered. I've been reaching out to many different HT surgeons around the world and the response I've received from Dr. Alexander's staff has been the worst out of the 10+ places I've communicated with. In particular Nicole Johnson has been the least helpful person and doesn't seem interested in bringing in new patients. Prior to reaching out to Dr. Alexander's office, I had actually had him as the top choice on my list because of how close his office is to where I live. I wouldn't spend thousands on a procedure when I'm worried if I can even get ahold of someone to help me in the office. Do your research and make sure you not only choose a good surgeon but someone who has a good team willing to help you throughout the entire process.

Dr. Alexander is awesome and we’re lucky to have him local to Phoenix as most of the other great hair doctors are in Miami, Canada, etc., no where close to here. I did a bunch of research before I did my transplant. I made appointments with the two doctors I had narrowed down. I liked Dr. Alexander better than the other, even though both of their credentials were excellent and they both ranked in the top 20 in hair transplant docs in North America. As Dr. Alexander will tell you, hair transplants are more art than science. Hair patterns are unpredictable and complex. The placement and angle of the hair follicle is key. I did 2000 grafts. I was extremely happy with the results. This was 5 years ago. I came back recently to discuss another transplant to fill the remaining bald spot. There was a review talking about Dr. Alexander up selling. I find that suspicious, as during this meeting of a second transplant, Dr. Alexander suggested I WAIT to be sure I really wanted it. That’s integrity. I did wait and after a few weeks decided I wanted it. The second procedure was just as smooth as the first. Dr. Alexander did come up with an extra 150 follicles or so after removal. That’s not uncommon as it’s a bit unpredictable to estimate how many follicles you’ll get from a donor area. He gave me the option to add them in, which I did. If you don’t want the additional cost, tell him No. It’s that simple. If you’re in the Southwest US and are considering getting a hair transplant, Dr. Alexander should be your first choice. Remember, you get what you pay for; and with my hair, I’m not taking chances.

He gave me a quote of $8,500. I negotiated to $8,000. During lunch (with my head bloodied from him stabbing the heck out of it to plant the graphs) he explained that he majically came up with 500 graphs and that he would throw them away if i did not purchase them. His charge $1,500. I found out later from not one but two other opinions that what he does is you see.. and im getting ahead of myself and before i explain, the donor area has the most density. You will have the most 2s and 3s per grafts, meaning strands per graft. What this "doc" does is he splits the grafts and sells them back to you. What you lose is money and most importantly density. All he leaves you with is single strands so you come back later to spend on another transplant. .not only that, the chance of those grafts being damaged from being chopped up is probable. I was told by other professionals the words described is scandalous and scoundrel. Fits perfectly. He will also try to sell you a Laser cap. The lowest grade 82 bulb. I contacted Lasercap and asked what the suggested retail was for that and they said $600-$800. Dr. Anderson tried to sell this to me for $2,500. Stay away and go get other opinions. He is a guy that claims only 5% know how to restore hair and he's one of them. Not true and there are better options out there. One of the biggest scams when finding hair replacement is they oversell, telling you that you need more than you do. Take pics. Lots of pics. There is a section of your head that apprars fine and it is gone over and stabbed the heck out of and there appears to be little or no change then you threw money away. Make him take a pic of your head and draw a line on what he is working on and make sure you get a copy before any money changes hands. During the consult its all word of mouth, but if pictures are taken and lines are drawn on whats actually being worked on theres no he said she said. If i could do it all over i would have ended up doing more homework and being much happier with my results. Most importantly there's only so much donor area, and some docs dont respect that. Once its gone, its gone. Its best to chose wisely.

Dr. Alexander and his team did an AMAZING job on my hair. I will admit that I was very scared and jumpy at first but his staff made me feel very comfortable, relaxed, and at ease. I hate to say but I even had a little doubt because of my hair type that Dr. Alexander probably would not understand but I was so wrong. He didn’t care if I was a black woman, a purple woman, or an orange woman. He deals with all types of hair including ethnic. Dr. Alexander and his team were so good to me. They gave me a blanket because I was freezing, they bought me lunch, they literally treated me like a princess. I was the only one in the office for the entire day and I didn’t feel like “just another customer”. Dr. Alexander was very honest with me, gave me clear instructions, and now I cannot wait to see the full results. Thank you Dr. Alexander and your team for everything. I am definitely recommending you to my other family and friends. God bless and thank you again.
