BEWARE of this company! SCAM artists, rip offs and cons are the best words to describe them. They told me my 3 year old unit needed to be replaced. They showed me a picture of a unit and broken pieces, but when I offered to go up on the roof, after I had initially declined, the technician suddently took his story back. Turns out the picture they showed me wasn't my unit. The roof was a different shade when I looked more carefully. I met them at a home show 3 months ago and was called the next few days and told I had won a FREE tune up. Let me tell you, this entire episode was far from free. As I investigated this company in depth, I found they employee all ex cons, from child molesters, armed robbery and even murder. Unbelievable. Stay away from this company!!

SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!! They tried to tell me I needed over $2,000 in preventative maintenance done, otherwise I risked burning my house down. They said they'd come out and perform a 'tune-up' for $39.95. The technician, Darnell Mickel, even wrote the word 'TUNE-UP' on the final bill, but also ultimately admitted to me that no actual tune-up was performed, after I grilled him over what he actually did. All they basically did was come out to charge me $39.95 in order to tell me I needed over $2,000 in work done, and to try to sell me on a Preventative Maintenance Agreement. I gave the douche bag a check for $39.95, and told him to get out of my house. I knew it sounded like a scam ..... had that funny feeling, so I kicked him out. I then proceeded to call another a/c repair service which I had used a couple years ago, Knight Air Conditioning. It's a small outfit, and a bit more difficult to get them to come out 'on-time,' but they do quality work and THEY'RE HONEST. So they arrived 8 days after my Desert Valley Aire experience, and they inspected my unit. They charged me just under $84 to oil, tighten up all the parts, and acid-wash / brush the coils. They told me my unit looked fine, and there was no $2,000 in preventative maintenance needed. I'm not here to advertise for Knight Air Conditioning. Go ahead and find whoever works best for you .... just stay away from Desert Valley Aire. They're a bunch of douche bags ..... scam artists ..... they have no ethics.
