Refused to accept my insurance BCBSIL for payment on annual exam. Demanded deposit because I have a deductible. I further explained that there is an employer paid HRA associated with the policy that would cover my out of pocket costs (it's a great plan) if any . This was in Dec 2019, when I was forced to cancel my appointment or be late picking up my kid from school. I called back and spoke to office manager Kira who refused to verify my benefits until I made another appointment and came into the office.

Rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. The Doctor herself is ok, but her staff makes the entire effort to do business impossible. They made my wife come to the office and stand outside in the heat for a half hour to fill out paperwork to be seen over the phone. They talk over the top of you on the phone, don't answer questions, and just put down the phone and walk away when those tactics don't infuriate you enough to find another doctor immediately. They were unable to call my insurance and verify coverage even with my name, DOB, and health ID number. The claim was my insurance couldn't find me and this wasn't even the first time being seen, yeah right. I called and had no issues. After almost 2 hours of going round and round I was told to call my insurance and then call and try to threeway the office staff in. Such a ridiculous waste of my time and effort. I am so frustrated by the whole experience. Just find a different doctor with professional office staff that can do what it takes to conduct business with your insurance. I am disabled, depressed, in chronic pain and my wive's hands are in severe pain, skin missing, and we needed help and instead we had to deal with this and now find another doctor.
