He did get my case to be seen for another hearing, so that is good. However, do not contact him if he hasn’t initiated contact. Other than accidentally contacting him when I was trying to get ahold of my bankruptcy attorney the only other time I contacted him after he sent my case to another attorney for my hearing was when I couldn’t get in contact with that attorney (that he chose). He seemed annoyed that I contacted him and I had no intent of contacting him again after receiving his response. The hearing attorney finally responded when I emailed that I wanted new representation. When I asked this attorney for a copy of my exhibit file I was told to get that from Mark. I told her he doesn’t want me contacting him. She stated he never said that and that “he continues to be (my) attorney for federal claim until hearing is completed.” I emailed Mark asking for my exhibit file and stated “that is all I need” because of his previous response. He responded to me and CC’d someone to get the file for me and stated “As she has indicated in her last (there was only one line) sentence, there is no need for further communications.” I responded that I never stated this, I simply said all I need is that file and that I fully expect communications about anything relating to my case. I said this due to the hearing attorney stating that he is my attorney for federal claim until the hearing is completed (which I have not had a hearing since Mark has been on my case and her saying “continues to be” implies that he is still involved in some way). He responded that he doesn’t know where I am getting my information and he is no longer involved in my case and will not respond to any further emails from me. I initially thought he wasn’t involved in it any longer but the response from the other attorney made me think otherwise. I only contacted him because I couldn’t get in touch with the attorney that he chose (until I told her that I didn’t want her anymore). Had it been someone I had chosen then he never would have been contacted. Still, I don’t understand being annoyed with your previous client, who you will still receive a good fee from if the case is won, contacting you about the attorney you chose not responding and asking for another referral. Things need to be communicated/explained better. I don’t know law or how all this works and hired an attorney for a reason. Some menial things are explained but then I am expected to understand other legal things that the common layman clearly wouldn’t know. Again, he did get somewhere with my appeal. If you only respond to him and don’t contact him otherwise and search for your own attorney if you need someone for a hearing then you will probably be okay.

I am STILL astounded and stunned with the quality of service my attorney Mark A. Caldwell and his staff provided me at the time I was in needed their services in 2009. I had just applied for S.S.D.I benefits from Social Security and as a precautionary measure, I hired them the day I applied, as I had been told by the advocate whom helped me with the paperwork to expect a denial from the S.S.A... Within a very short time, I received a call from Mr.Ober and his assistant sta ting that I had been aproved for benefits and should be receiving my award letter soon. It took more time to receive the first payment from the S.S.A than it did to win my case. As a direct result, I'm going to whole-heartedly recommend this firm to anyone who has the need to file for their benefits.

Terrible! Never met with my attorney, information filed for claim was incorrect even though I contacted the office about it and tried to get it corrected. Granted, my disability was a rare one, they would not list it in my filings. After over 2 years I fired them and hired another specialist to represent me and at the hearing with the administrative law judge, he corrected all the wrong information filed for my case, supplied all the correct information and won my case in 45 minutes! Just from my experience, I'm sorry but would never recommend them
