    This is second time they have rescued me in extreme heat. Once for the company I work for with our server room. And now my home. I called this morning and JR responded to the after hours call within 5 minutes. He had me check a few things on the phone. Then drive out to me and had the unit running within 15 minutes. I highly recommend Mears! Service: HVAC system repair

    Dale at Mears is always very professional and friendly. There are no hard upsales like we experienced with other companies. Another company wanted to charge double what it cost at Mears and was pushing for us to replace our 6 year old unit.

    Our rental properties' HVAC had been serviced by Mears Mechanical (via our property manager who recommended them). We recently converted the house from a rental to our own snowbird "get away" and I wanted to get the AC checked out before summer came, so I called Mears and spoke to Brandon, who gave me a price over the phone for an HVAC check out. It was reasonable and we set up an onsite appointment.Sammy showed up and couldn't have been nicer and more professional. He explained everything he was doing and checked all our cooling components, plus our heating system in the attic.He explained "best install practices" should we ever replace the system. I could tell Sammy knew what he was talking about and he was extremely polite, thoughtful in his approach and did a great job.I called Mears, after the visit, to commend Sammy and I spoke to Scott this time. He was very appreciative of the commendation for Sammy, and when I asked if they did plumbing, (they did not), he recommended Practical Plumbers (who by the way did a great job on my plumbing needs and I left them a great review as well).I would use Mears Mechanical again, without reservation, for all my HVAC needs!

    Brandon knows why I am giving this 1 star review. My AC went out on late Monday night and after 8 calls and 3 voicemails I get a call back 3 hours later Tuesday afternoon from Brandon saying he'll have someone over in a couple hours. He also said this would not be covered under my warranty but good thing I called the warranty company directly and got that cleared up. The tech arrived and turns out the ECM motor is shot and apparently no one in town has one. He says it's going to be at least a couple days before we get it. Shipping it from the east coast was going to cost me too in order to get it here by Thursday. Given that Arizona has been under a heat warning during this time I called and asked if there was any kind of loaner cooler or something they could do and they said no sorry. I have pets and 2 roommates who live in the home with me and when I tell you it was hot it was HOT! (115 degrees) Fans don't do much but push the hot air around But hey it wasn't them sitting it out through the heat so no big deal right. Here we are it's Thursday at 11:00 am I haven't heard from them so I called of course no answer, after 5 calls and 2 voicemails I get a call from a different tech saying he's 30 min away. The new tech didn't know what the exact cost was going to be for labor and shipping and didn't know if the service they just provided was warrantied. Asked me to call Brandon but every time I call NO ONE ANSWERS!!! So 3 days later and $628.63 in cost and for something that took less than an hour to fix I hoping this review will help Mears Mechanical better prepare and provide better customer service especially during 115 degree temperatures.
