This bank bought out my original bank and so by default I bacame a customer. I have had my account for over 10 years and lived at the same address for over 20 years. However when I brought in a bank issued cashier's check for a larger sum with the intention of simply depositing it into savings I was literally questioned as to why a person like me would have this. And then, I was told that because sometimes people steal checks, my bank issued cashier's check was not actually guaranteed. And as if all of that behavior was not shameful enough on the acting managers part, HE PUT A 10 DAY HOLD ON GUARANTEED FUDS! Not a two or five day hold but ten days. A simple phone call to the issuing bank would have handled the situation, in these modern times I doubt a phone call would be required for my bank to have checked the validity. Instead they chose to insult a customer and lied to him as to what a cashier's checks purpose is. I literally took out my phone a googled cashier's check and read it to him, proving he was lieing and he laughed at me. What a jerk. Obviously I will be moving all my banking to someplace where they know how to treat customers. Maybe a place where the employees actually dress like banking professionals. But if you want a convenience store experience from the people who handle your money, maybe this bank would work out for you.
