I do not recommend to go to this office at all, for any type of doctoring in my opinion. The schedule person "J." is very unprofessional in my opinion, and I have gone to them for nearly a decade. They changed people, and hands there though. They use to be so so very nice, respectful and kind. Today
getting badgered in 3rd degree by the schedule person was horrifying, bringing me to tears, after getting off the phone. I realized she appeared ignorant and oblivious to what was really going on medically and regarding Nurse Practitioner Susan and my conversations; of course my medical records being under "Doctor Patient confidentiality etc. "
But she didn't even listen, nor knew me, to talk to me in such a degraded way. I had to cancel only maybe 3 or 4 appointments over a decade, that's it. Mostly in the last 4 years, and still paid my co-pay even when it had to be cancelled, AND it was only due to one of their practitioners, Susan. who told me "they get mad at me if I run tests!" I have PPO insurance and had no choice to find someone fast. My Practioner here was also sick a time or two and had to cancel as well within the last year before her retirement and during covid. But of course the scheduler left that out. And that was fine. Susan was ill.
As for me I had to cancel because I was going into blind spells quite regularly , having horrible stomach pains, and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery for my gallbladder, because of no tests they would give to get a diagnosis for my stomach. Yup rushed to the hospital because nurse Practioner Susan wasnt allowed she said to run tests. Also in December 2019 my legs and arms would become paralyzed for several minutes. My Mom was dying at the time too of cancer, but I had to get rushed by ambulance.So then finally had to go to professionals in Sedona for help. I have all records, results. They had to do MRI's and lots of other tests including setting me up with specialists because I had multiple things taking place. Suddenly. I was snapped at by the Nurse practioner here because I went to another doctor for help. So the Doctors in Sedona were testing for a stroke, and other things like MS etc. . Yup... so If you need care, true care in my opinion I would never go there. If you want true kindness and not fake pretension, or snotty condescension, please think about it. The person named was so hurtful.. Mean. Patients should never be talked to in such a horrible way. I come from an awesome family of Military, Police , and Fire Captain's back East, we were not raised that way. She started to raise her voice and I hung up when I realized she didnt know the circumstances of my medical history and reasons for any cancellations, including Susan's. I had been a patient for nearly a DECADE! So apparently, I couldn't have missed too many appointments since I was still there for so long with no issues. Very passive-aggressive, and over exaggerating things,. I guess to justify the meaness and unwillingness to understand. Susan saying "I get in trouble If I order tests", only simple bloodwork, they let me do" Ya you betcha. What would anyone do for their loved ones to get a diagnosis if you have a practice nurse not able to run tests, in fear of getting in trouble. I have excellent insurance too. I guess to not diagnose, they can get money kickbacks too. Maybe that is why. I hope this helps someone. Shaming,degrading, isn't professional. Flagging your records to cover their butts isnt either. Documents, ultra sounds, MRI's don't lie. So maybe if the did a real practice, they would save the headaches of a bad review. The person scheduling should be ashamed for treating people in an unprofessional way. Especially changing your records to black marks just because your insecure and a snob. I have excellent insurance. Never really needed them for serious health issues until 3 to 4 years ago. Went to them for a decade. It seems to be about money and probable kickbacks for not diagnosing.
