      Set on the shore of Lake Spenard next to Lake Hood, The Lakefront Anchorage is the only hotel in Anchorage that is located on a lake. Our scenic hotel near Lake Hood has daily flightseeing and fishing pickups from its own dock, from which you can also gaze at floatplanes with the majestic Chugach Mountains behind.

      image Close to airport, easy drive to town. Staff was excellent! Stayed there 3 nights while my 82 year old mom got knee surgery. Was able to switch to room closer to elevators.
      Plenty of parking, good towels and lots of pillows.
      Sliding doors on bathrooms means zero noise privacy. Awkward! You can hear EVERYTHING.
      Hotel is a bit worn, but they do their best with what they have.
      Very surprised there were no espresso drinks on menu. Drip coffee was terrible in breakfast restaurant. (So much so I drove into town just for coffee.)
      Ill say again: staff was excellent. Communicative, helpful, informative and friendly.
