Bob Green's has a ton of history and for great reason. Family owned business with a ton of selections in optical frames as well as one of the largest selections of Maui Jim sunglasses in Alabama. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help.

This was a happenstance visit. I turned into the wrong place that ended up being the RIGHT place! Andrea and Lydia were SO very nice and personable. They were very knowledgeable and helpful and I promise you I wont ever go anywhere else. I am in healthcare and have a high standard. It was a small town personal experience that is sorely missing these days. I needed glasses for my aging mom. They made her feel as though she was their only customer. We were in and out in 30 min. This is not an exaggeration. They were A+++. Moms glasses were very affordable and nice! Just what she needed. They didnt try to up-sell to make a buck. I would recommend them 100x over. Thank you ladies!!!

I will not do business here again. The billing date was misrepresented by the tech person, which cost me more moneythey did not bill insurance as she said they would, so it was not covered. They refused to make that good. This business is not customer friendly.

I am so sorry for the experience you have had at our office. This is not something that we take lightly, as we strive to continue the customer service that Bob Green started over 40 years ago. Even though Mr. Green is no longer with us, the business is still owned and ran by the Green family. I am going to personally reach out to Blue Cross to see what I can do regarding the date of service. I really wish insurance companies were easier to work with. I was more than happy to try to rectify things before I was hung up on. Again, I apologize for the confusion and frustration this has caused you and will reach back out as soon as I can gather more information from your insurance provider.

when we went to get glasses, when I recieved my glasses. The lens already had scratches on it and they said I must have used alcohol wipes or left them in the hot vehicle. I said how , I just got them. They took my glasses and when I got replacement lens, it still had scratches on it and they said it was my fault even though it was handed back into my hand with scratches . I just got a new pair of lenses through a different place and the lens came back perfect. The scratches caused problems, bad starburst where I couldnt see the road at night even on a four lane road. It was ridiculous
