honest opinion I've been here for 3 classes and haven't learned nothing new , this school charges alot but doesnt teach nothing at all. I would only recommend this to someone who has no idea how a motor works but they will probably be better off youtube not gonna lie. Im a diesel tech with 8 year of experience prior to coming to lincoln. I came here because i was told i was gonna learn more stuff but in all honesty i havent learned anything , theres barely hands on training ,everything is mostly done on a computer which doesnt really help. I would rather recomend u go work for a shop that will teach u everything and go from there .I pay everything out of pocket so it really hurts to see money like that being missused

Heres an honest opinion from being a student here and real experiences Ive had.
The orientation is far from a real orientation its really just a long drawn out this is who I am meeting with faculty youll never see again.
All the classes are primarily module learning and they are FAR from being consistent and accurate (even some instructors acknowledge how wrong some of the information is).
The staff can be very immature, talk badly about their superiors, complain most of the day or simply flirt with one another.
They treat you like youre still in high school and have 0 care for your personal life so if you have a baby due, surgery scheduled, have to make frequent doctor visits or if a loved one dies THEY DO NOT CARE. They simply care about your attendance so they look good.
Ive personally witnessed students ask instructors questions and be told I dont know about that Ill have to look it up like we could have avoided paying 38k and just doing our own research.
If you have ANY mechanical background you will 100% be wasting your time. The automotive and diesel programs are for people that dont know what a wrench was (yes you guessed it an entire week was wasted learning, if you can call it that, what various tools were and how to use them).
They tell you its 60/40 in class and in lab doing hands on yet Ive gone a whole month without doing a single lab.
Since I picked on pretty early I wasnt going to learn anything useful I sought a job in the diesel field and have learned a lot more in a month there than I will ever learn from this school.
The cherry on top is that this school is not regarded highly on resumes as most of the accounts I work with have all laughed and joked about how bad their employees have been from Lincoln tech when they saw my shirt.
If youre really interested dont waste your money, go start as a shop help in your career field and work your way up.
