image Worst train/bus Amtrak station of them all! Its filthy, old, rundown, and no food or coffee (although I doubt Id eat or drink anything that came from here)
Spent $600 plus and 19hrs traveling by train to end up in this dust bowl station at 630 am with the last leg of our trip turning out to be delayed. We have no idea how long until this bus arrives with the absolute bare minimum of information being given to us by the front desk. Its clear by the delivery of news about the delay that they dont give a rats you know what about us and pretty much look at us as if we are the inconvenience! Well its the other way around ladies. It is now over an hour delay. We should have landed at the end of our destination and be on our way to rent a car by now. Instead Im here with a bunch of tired customers listening to the front desk ladies laugh in such a way Id almost think they were competing for the best witch laugh.awesome

image I was taking a return trip from Detroit Michigan on a Greyhound Bus. We were not there very long. There was nothing open inside. There were vending machines available till Subway opened up later. It was clean and pleasant. Sorry I do not have a photo.

image We thought that it would be a good idea and a fun thing to do to take an Amtrak train to Chicago from Toledo. The train was scheduled to leave at 6:15 am and arrive at Union Station in Chicago at 10:30 local time. Unfortunately, I cant honestly review the entire trip at this point, you see we boarded the train at 6:00 am. We had to search several cars to find seats. There were many people taking up multiple seats as they were sleeping and seriously stretched out. Once we found seats we satand are currently still sitting at 9:25am. We were informed around 8:00 that there was an electrical issue with the first car. They are intending to unhook the first car and move it to the back of the train. That is the only update we have received. Unfortunately, this will probably be our only trip on an Amtrak train. Amtrak would like you to believe that it this glamorous way to travel. That it is scenic and comfortable and stress free. It is none of those things. There are no reserved seats, it is just like getting on public transportation, first come first served. The seats are filled with trash in the seatback, there is no direction from staff. So here we sit and sit and sitdelays are probably inevitable on this form of travel however over 3 hours is unacceptable especially without any updates.
