The Laundry Spot

Kali, Thank you for your review and for the opportunity to fill in the blanks that you clearly left out. First of all I’d like to point out that according to the app you started 4 washers at 11:36 AM and did not return to remove your clothes from those four washers until 12:35 PM.As many customers are aware we are extremely busy especially on a Sunday and expect customers to be courteous of other customers by promptly removing your laundry from a washer or dryer so others can use them. I tried calling you on the phone number associated with your app account to give you a courtesy call, but was immediately hung up on. So as the owner - I removed your laundry to allow one of my long standing customers of 15 years to use 2 of the 4 of the washers you were keeping others from using. When you finally arrived at 12:35 PM to collect your laundry you were obviously already annoyed. I addressed you by name and asked you to clarify that the 2 baskets next to me were yours, which immediately changed your attitude from annoyed to being snarky. I pointed out that I had called you prior to removing your laundry as being professional and as a courtesy. You were obviously pissed off especially at my attempts to keep the crowd flowing. I am often accused of not being professional when I set a boundary with someone who doesn’t respect or understand a necessary boundary. That is when you retorted that I am not being professional. It was obvious that you were not comfortable with the boundary to retrieve your laundry immediately when done, which is why I said there are other laundries in the area. Just then another customer whose clothes I had removed earlier came in wondering where his laundry was it had been 2 hours since he started his laundry. He apologized which I told him don’t apologize just remove your clothes promptly to allow others to use the machines. Yes, I stood conversing with a customers about how certain customers tend to behave as if the laundromat is at their house only managing their laundry when they feel like it. The person with whom I was speaking with is of Mexican descent who is fluent in Spanish and English. To imply that we were speaking ill of a customer because he is Mexican is a very ignorant assumption on your part! Maybe you should participate being less entitled and actually observe the room before making wrong assumptions. Thank you, The TLS Team

Hi Scott, Thanks for the review. Our common practice is to leave all the doors open at night until the next day. The washers are cleaned nightly. No need to leave a sign for customers to leave washer doors open because many never shut a door anyway. We recently had the troughs behind the washers power washed down and wondering if prior to this happening the smell from the troughs were coming through the washer side? Thank you, The TLS Team
