If I could give Zero stars I would. Dealing with Mr. Jones was about as traumatic as dealing with my ex-husband. I still have deep emotions remembering my experience with Mr. Jones and the entire events of my divorce. First example in the beginning, I gave him a new email address and phone number to reach me, and after not hearing from him for quite sometime I learned he never made a note of my new contact info. My feelings and questions were often quickly dismissed. I rarely felt seen or heard. I felt like he had more meetings with my ex-husband's lawyer than he ever did with me. When I asked him when we would meet to prepare me for trial, his response was "I don't like to prepare. I find it does more harm than good." I had no idea what questions would be asked or how I was supposed to answer them. The worst was the night before trial he told me he forgot to tell me I was required to take an online parenting class. We had court at 9:00AM the next day and I was up until 4:00AM the night before taking the online class. I got very little sleep and felt very under prepared. At one point when I was being questioned by my ex's lawyer in court, I tried to make eye contact with Mr. Jones for some kind of reassurance, but he purposefully avoided my eyes. I knew for certain in that moment he wasn't supporting me. We lost our case. As we walked out of the courtroom, he did nothing to console me or even take the time to follow-up, but said he had to quickly leave because he had another meeting. When he sent me forms after trial as a finality, my name was horribly misspelled many times over. When I responded unhappy about my name and the entire experience as a whole, he fired me as a client. I had to sign my divorce papers without a lawyer present, only learning later on there were many things we could've amended. These events took place in 2018 and it's taken me this long to heal and have the courage to speak about them.
