Phil was the absolute best, and the most amazing person to work with. i couldnt have imagined anything better than the service he provided. The chemistry between him and the camera is nothing short of incredible. you will not regret hiring him to do anything for your special day!

Phil and his team member, Paul, photographed and videoed our wedding on 10/13/23 and absolutely killed it. He also did our engagement shoot so it was no surprise. He has such a creative eye and is so talented. We didnt have many requests as far as which pictures we wanted, but the ones we did request, he nailed. Everything else was his own direction and I couldnt have asked for more. He is not the cookie cutter wedding photographer (which is exactly what we wanted). A mix of birth candid and authentic moments, with some posed and more artistic moments. He also has such a fun and comforting personality which was super appreciated with all the wedding jitters and nerves that we had going into the day. He made us feel comfortable and SUPER SEXY. We love Phil. Youll love Phil. Dont second guess your choice booking him!

DO NOT USE THEM! Its taken me 5 whole years to write this review because of how hurt I was by The Portos. We were sold on the idea of a husband and wife tag teaming our big day. What we got was 10x less than that. My husband fit their brand and aesthetic so he ended up with a modeling portfolio of pictures of just him while he was getting ready for the ceremony. No one was in with the ladies capturing those special moments and dont even get me started on how horrible the family photos were. THE ONLY photo I have with my mom, her eyes are closed. AND I HAVE ZERO PICTURES OF ME IN MY DRESS FULL LENGTH. Zero of me walking down the aisle and horrible angles of our ceremony. When we approached them afterwards about how sad and disappointed we were, they did absolutely nothing to make it right. We felt lied to, and betrayed. We will never be able to get these moments back. I hate them, I hate their work, and I hate the lies they feed their clients that they try and befriend. Dont support liars who promise one thing and deliver a sad excuse of what they once said youd receive. Photos were our one big splurge and our biggest regret. FIND ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER! My heart still hurts we made the decision to go with them. Take it from someone who has let regret eat them alive every damn day- look elsewhere!

Hi RacheL 1st, before I reply to the review, just know I love you guys & I am so sorry that you guys feel the way you do, especially for this amount of time. Heres the gallery so others can make their own conclusions. https://theportos.pic-time.com/-johnandrachel9We were a husband & wife team when you booked us.As you know,Christa got pregnant & it was 6 weeks after giving birth.You had known far before your date that she would not be there & you both were so supportive.When she offered to still try & make it work,you guys laughed & knew her heart was to be there for you.That is a bit disappointing to see you bring up.To make it up, I had 2 extra shooters from the team. We do not have a "aesthetic" of couple. You both fit the 1 thing we do look for in couples, which is that we care about them & want to celebrate them.Only criteria I have for any wedding I shoot & you guys fit that. I went back to the prep photos. Regardless of an emotional situation, we were able to get you & your ladies enjoying yourselves, popping champagne, photos on the bed, getting ready & the emotional letter. I counted & theres 148 getting ready photos of you as opposed to his 130.Your getting ready photos are actually still some of my favorites to this day.I looked at the family photos & there are multiples of your mom & non w/ her eyes closed,so i am confused on that.The Dress-I also went back & there are so many of your full length dress, including the ones still currently posted on your instagram. Theres 11 photos of walking down the aisle, regardless of whats said here & elsewhere slandering us.Ceremony: anyone who looks at the gallery will see the tiny corner they placed you in & all the chairs right up to the Chuppah.We put ourselves in as many places as possible to make sure we could capture those special moments. Afterward-I do remember you asking if there were any EXTRA shots of you alone in your dress full body,I apologized that there were none with the time crunch.You said you understood & it was all good. I delivered the photos & you texted “We're only a few in...both crying & obsessed with EVERY SINGLE ONE😍😍😍😍😍😍😍OhMyFreakingGoshhhhhhhhhTHESE ARE AMAZINGGGGGGGG” “Seriously, I'm IN LOVE WITH THEM!!We've literally been looking at these since I first texted you & we're still only on the get ready photos.I am in awe, & truly in love with each & every one so far.So many emotions looking back on these moments.There are no words for how you ever so perfectly captured our day. It's like I can hear what's happening in the room just by looking at the photos. They are incredible.You are incredible.Your team is incredible. & we are incredibly lucky to have had you along side with us throughout our journey.Seeing it all come together in these photos truly takes my breath away in a way I never thought was possible.““Im sitting here speechless.Just finished looking at alllllll 1270 photos & I'm obsessed.You're the man!!!There are no words to thank you enough! you more than hooked us up & we can't thank you enough. Phil worked with us to create the package of our dreams that no other vendor was willing to help us create. We came out of our wedding confident that Phil had captured all of our beautiful moments seamlessly for us to look back on.
I was hesitant to hire video based on other weddings that I'd been to, but Phil is a fantastic vendor to add to your day. He truly cares about capturing amazing moments, works incredibly well with other vendors, and seamlessly captures all of the small moments that you will want to remember.

Cannot say enough good things about the Portos. Phil was so great at communicating with us every step of the way before our big day. He was so personable and took the time to do a video call with us, phone call with us, and really got to know us before coming to shoot our wedding. We felt so comfortable while having our pictures done and just received our sneak peek photos we are blown away! They do such a great job of capturing everyone's personality and not making the photos look too staged, which is exactly why we picked them to shoot our wedding.
There isn't a better option out there when it comes to your wedding photos!
