Received a quote from Pool Medic in 3/2022 for an upgrade to the automation on my salt water pool. Pool Medic required me to sign the quote and pay 50% down to begin work. Two months later and weekly phone calls and the company came to the house and took my existing equipment down. They then installed the new equipment but did not make it operational. They gave me two more invoices for additional parts not included in their original bid - a salt cell and the lighting kit. They refused to complete the job unless I paid them an additional $5000 for the equipment they didn't include on the original bid. Avoid this company and their shady business practices.

Received our estimate in early April, approved it after a week, and understood we'd have to wait to get into their schedule. Waited to no response so had to follow up at the end of April to find out when they were going to come out. Terms of the proposal stated that they would do a long list of actions in order to determine where the leak would be, then notify us of an estimate for the cost of repair. We were required to pay for 50% of that estimate. Beginning of May the service person came out and was professional and nice. He did not perform most of the diagnostic tests proposed on the estimate, but instead did some minor patch work. We were all hopeful that it would have been as simple as that. It was not. End of May I had to follow up, because I received no word from the main office as to any actual results or findings, and we still had a leak. A response was sent the next day that she would have to check with the technicians, and two days later saying that they may still be monitoring. So I let another month go by, we're now into June, and at the end of the month sent a follow up email to request an update. No response. Final request for an update what sent in mid-July, also to no response. We still have the leak in our pool, but are out over $300. Buyer beware, this is not a professional or responsive company. They didn't even follow the terms of their own proposal. Two stars because the technician that came out seemed to be trying his best and was polite; but we suspect the system in place at the company is a sham. *Edit: typed "shame" - which is also true, it is a shame. But meant to type sham - as in I think the company acted in a fraudulent manner*

My husband waited all day for someone to come to give us an estimate. Was told it was "on his schedule". NEVER showed up. No phone call. When I call the office, she was completely unprofessional and down right rude. I told her to nevermind. Wouldn't go here if they were the last pool company in Myrtle Beach.
