image Our first meeting with hospice was with Treasure Coast Hospice. Instead of saying how sorry they are for our loved one having to go on hospice they where more concerned about his assets. First meeting about hospice and it involved assets did not sit well with us. They also wanted our loved one to go to a skilled nursing home after they stabilized him at hospice inpatient which we would not approve. With my husband and myself working in the medical field we looked elsewhere for care.

image Unfortunately my Dear Mom passed away in hospice Care , but had to stay at Martin South, who I want to thank them as well. Nicole Dalman and Isaiah, (with Hospice) helped me and my Dear Mom with such professional passionate care ,I don't know how much more I can say but ,as soon as soon as they got there They talked me through the process with such love and support. Thank you! Nicole and Isaiah are truly a valuable asset to Hospice!

About Time on Google

image I wish I can give a negative star.
Most of us have learned over time to recognize scammers and to steer clear of them. What do you do, though, when someone you trust makes you unwittingly part of their scam? That's what happened to me this month by Treasure Coast Hospice, and the best way I know to keep other people from falling into their trap is to give an honest review of their service.
Treasure Coast Hospice was referred to me by Jupiter Medical Center's cancer unit, medical professionals whom I trust completely; therefore, I would also trust their recommendation to meet the same high standard of care. It was just the opposite.
On Sunday morning, I received a call that a nurse was coming to my home the same day. I agreed to the visit, because I'd brought my gravely ill sister from Pennsylvania to Hobe Sound, where I was preparing a bedroom for her in our home. I was anxious to begin her care here as soon as possible.
Imagine my shock when the "nurse (no, I never saw any credentials) that Gold Coast Hospice sent to my home to evaluate my sister's health needs was himself not well. He was morbidly obese to the point that he had difficulty breathing, making guttural sounds, as he waddled across my living room to plop down in a dining room chair to question me for almost four hours! He did not even acknowledge my sister, who was sitting on the couch nearby. He did not check out her bedroom to see if it was adequate for her care (probably because he did not want to walk the 20 feet to her door). Worst of all, he talked ABOUT my sister as if she was invisible, a non-person, until she finally got very upset. I told him to stop and to leave. He did not want to stop, and he continued his questioning..
This "nurse" had no information about my sister, who had signed a release for Jupiter Medical Center to provide all her records to other providers. Instead, he questioned me to exhaustion, although I'm not a medical professional, and the questions were increasingly redundant. It dawned on me later what was really happening.
This "nurse" was padding his time sheet at my sister's expense. He showed no empathy, or even any interest in my sister's well being, or how to help alleviate the impact of her illness even slightly on our family. Within hours, I tried to cancel their services, which took three days to finalize. I've closed on a home mortgage in less time.
I cannot imagine what they billed Medicare or her supplemental insurance for their non-service.
Decades ago, I was held as a political prisoner in a third-world country, and those people stole two years of my life. Losing those two years doesnt bother me as much as the hours stolen from me and my sister last Sunday, and our treatment did not have even a touch of humanity, which is worse.
Do yourself and your loved one a favor. Run, RUN far away from Treasure Coast Hospice, and don't unwittingly become part of a mediscam.
