Ive been looking for a place for Mom. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because we decided not to take the tour. I am sure this place is very nice but the price range was out of my Moms budget, closer to 8-10K a month.

UPDATE The decision has been made to move our family member to a different facility.
Most recent issues noted at this facility and in our family members unit. When we took bedding off the bed to break it down for the move we found that the mattress cover and mattress were very soiled with urine and feces. There is absolutely no way a housekeeper changed linens on this bed and did not notice the stains! Please look at the attached photo. It was evident that the stains were from numerous accidents. Our family member had several washable waterproof bed pads available that were not being used. We also furnished an adequate supply of disposable bed pads that were not used. This is completely inexcusable, unsanitary and disgusting! Issues like this are why this facility has a very bad smell. We had to dispose of the mattress and mattress cover and replace them. Unit has a broken window that will not close completely in the bedroom. This was reported and.not repaired. Heat/air unit in living area is dripping water on the floor which is an extreme slip hazard. This was also reported and not repaired. There was a wash cloth shoved under the heat/air unit to catch the dripping water. Dirty clothing was stored with clean clothing. Missing items. Doors in parts of the facility do not meet fire and emergency regulations.
The Isakson family should be ashamed of themselves! This facility may be beautiful, but the care provided in assisted living is shameful. A premier facility is what they advertise. However we have found soiled linens on the bed. Housekeeping is virtually non exisitant. Leaks in the bathroom causing an extreme slip hazard. Shameful!

Negative stars. My mother was a resident at Park Springs. She couldnt write this review because she is dead. Please do your homework before you decide to send your loved one to any independent or assisted living facility.
My mother moved to independent living at Park Springs. When we were planning to move her there, we were told that there were motion sensors in the room to detect if a resident had not moved for an extended period of time. At least as it applied to my mother, this was absolutely false. PLEASE ask Park Springs to show you the sensors, how they work, and who monitors them.
COVID. The residents were in quarantine, and staff would drop off meals at the residents units. Apparently, staff never thought it odd that all these untouched meal trays were stacked up outside my mothers door when they knew she was inside. A resident was able to do what Park Springs would not do, and she called for help.
My mother was found in an essentially unconscious state. She had been like that for days. During that time, she developed a grade-4 bedsore. She returned to Park Springs and had to stay in skilled nursing for a while, then she had months of wound care, etc.
While she was still recovering from the bedsore, Park Springs gave HER an ultimatum: 1) Leave Park Springs or 2) move to assisted living. She got this bedsore on their watch. We asked Park Springs to please provide the reason that they were requiring her to move to assisted living. They mentioned her test results on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test. Okay. Could we see her test results? When we finally got them, we found that she PASSED. Odd. People can draw their own conclusions. 3 facts I considered in arriving at my own conclusion: she was left in her room unconscious for long enough to form a grade-4 bedsore while in lockdown and under their care; there was a misrepresentation of the results of her MOCA test as a stated basis for her needing to move assisted living; and assisted living is significantly more expensive.
Unfortunately, we did move my mother to assisted living. It is a decision that I regret. In August of 2021, my mother was infected with a breakthrough COVID infection. As soon as I learned of the infection, I asked Orville DeGuzman, their licensed Assisted Living Community Administrator, to please make sure my mother goes to the hospital if proper care cannot be rendered on-site. Mr. DeGuzman said that rescue and/or the hospital would not take her because she wasnt sick enough. I would later discover, at least according to the hospital, this was untrue. Why would he say that? I also inquired about getting her on the therapeutic IVs that were, by then, available. Mr. DeGuzman responded: IVs are beyond an Assisted Living so restorative cocktails are not available to us to administer and she is not ill enough to require treatment at the skilled nursing level of care. My mother was an extremely, extremely high risk case. We were assured her vitals would be closely monitored. In seven days, her oxygen dropped to 80, EVEN AFTER A BREATHING TREATMENT. So, we asked for the records reflecting her vitals. We had to ask Orville about the absence of O2 readings for the 2-3 days before her level plummeted to 80. According to Mr. DeGuzman, they were not noted because they were normal. Hmm. I didnt know vitals were not recorded when they were good.
Unfortunately, my mother died as a result of her breakthrough COVID infection. Mr. DeGuzman then advised: I do not play a direct CARE role with members. That seems at odds with telling somebody that a resident isnt sick enough to go to the hospital. It also seems at odds with Mr. DeGuzman recommending another higher, more expensive level of CARE.
Park Springs has not returned her share of equity in over 2 YEARS. They dont respond to emails. Kevin Isakson assured us he would look into it and call us. Nothing. Sent follow up emails. Nothing. Please, please do your homework. Confirm in writing anything you hear from Mr. Isakson, Mr. Helms, Mr. DeGuzman, or any of the sales staff.
