image My mom was at St. Joseph recently for 4 weeks. She had amazing care and treatment. She absolutely loved the staff, especially her NAC, Alex. The physical therapists were all attentive and thorough. She enjoyed the food as well. We would recommend St Joseph to anyone needing skilled nursing care.

image A slip on the ice resulted in a badly broken ankle and surgery.  I was sent to St. Joe's for rehab.  I spent two and one-half weeks prepping to return home.  Everyone I encountered during my stay behaved in a caring and professional manner.  I returned home with the skills to use both wheelchair and walker efficiently.  I even climbed the stairs to the front door using a technique learned in therapy.  I am very grateful for St. Joseph's Care Center.

image Up until yesterday, I would have given St Joseph five stars. My mom had brain damage, and they ordered an appointment with Pulmonary at the Sacred Heart bldg. I tried to contact Cheryl at St Joseph several times before leaving and received no response to find out how my mom would be cared for during transportation. We arrived at ten and didn't get in till 10:30. After the breathing test, we were told we would have to wait till noon for the appointment with Dr. Anderson. At 10:47, my mom announced she needed a bowel movement. I told the receptionist, and she alerted the nurse. The nurse said they couldn't help me and told me to reschedule. I asked them to call MedTran because I had no transportation.
We waited for fifteen minutes for transportation. When my mom started moaning in pain, I called St Joseph and let them know the situation. I took my mom to the bathroom but couldn't physically move her from the wheelchair to the toilet. It was now past noon when I returned to the entrance of Sacred Heart Office bldg. I wrapped my mom with my coat and headed outside in the falling snow. By God's grace, I made it there with my mom on the snow-filled sidewalks and roads. Later I found out that the nurse had given my mom a laxative in the morning.
Where was communication during this whole ordeal? Did they not know my mom would have over a two-hour wait in a wheelchair when she was primarily bed-bound? They are highly understaffed. I get that. All to the neglect of the patient's care.
I have tried connecting with Keisha with social services, and there has been no response since her original call. I can only hope that one day you will be neglected in your old age to understand the value of good care.

image I was a resident of Providence St Joseph Care twice. Once for 2 months and once for 2 weeks. The food is awesome, but during Covid, when it came to our room delivery, the food was Luke warm when received. This was .because from the time it was put on trays, and brought to our rooms was on average 30 min. When we were able to eat in the dining room the service was excellent! I was provided everything that I requested.
I had no problem with getting help when I put my light on. The only problem that I had was from a physical therapist. This was a woman who came to my room the first day and threatened me. Other then her my experience at St Josephs was very good.

image My husband was a resident of St Joseph's from May 23rd to June 13th of 2022. While he was there, the staff was in and out of his room multiple times a day with medication, food, etc. PT and OT were there for him when needed. They were super hospitable to me as we live 2 1/2 hours away, so I'd take my trailer up on the weekends and park in their parking lot. They would let me plug in to their electricity, so I had my own home away from home. They even fed me. So I would definitely use these guys again. Nice clean rooms, and surrounding area. The food was very good. The only thing I would suggest is more consistency with daily care. Seems he always had someone new to take care of him so that meant reviewing medical notes and records and familiarizing them with his needs, but other than that, it was a pretty good experience over all
