Just renovated - very nice and clean. Super staff. Patrick should be the Marriott mascot - wow - talk about hospitality! Just visiting with him was worth the stay!

The property is conveniently located - close to the airport and main shopping area as well as a short drive away from downtown Portland.
However the hotel is under renovation. The hotel didnt give any notice nor did the staff mention anything at check in.
We are trying to take a nap on Sunday afternoon. But the contractor is working on the room right over our room. Its so loud!
I wouldnt come back and stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights. Ill start with my complaints:
-no free breakfast- with a room for 4 costing over $150/night, youd think they could afford to have breakfast included.
-breakfast at the Bistro restaurant was $8-$11 with a very limited menu. $11 was for a breakfast sandwich!
-no free coffee or tea in the lobby- for a business focused hotel, youd think offering only hot chocolate in the lobby is a little short sighted.
-no one cleaned our room while we were out during the day. This meant we didnt get more coffee pods to make coffee for the morning, since this was the only coffee they offered, we had to go to the front desk and request more. The room description stated that there is in room coffee and tea, but we did not have any tea provided.
-housekeeping was VERY loud - banging around, walking heavily, slamming doors- while cleaning the room next door to us starting at 8am- checkout is at noon so I was surprised they didnt at least try to be more quiet.
-the refrigerator seems to shut off after a certain amount of time? It was cold when we came in the first night but when we went to put something in it the second evening, it was really warm- the salad we had stored was wilted
Compliments:
-the room was very clean and comfortable
-air-conditioning worked, even in January- we like our room to be cool at night so this was great
-the room darkening shades worked GREAT
-front desk was very helpful in the 3 interactions we had with them
-plenty of parking
-safe location- very close to shopping and other points of interest
Rooms: Rooms are spacey and clean. No bed bugs or other pests. Could use a microwave to allow for eating cheaply while traveling. Beds are comfortable with good pillow choice.
Nearby activities: Maine Mall nearby. Sebago Brewing Co (brew pub, full bar, restaurant) within safe walking distance, lots of other restaurants within short drive of 5 miles.
Safety: Very safe location. Parking lot was well lit.
Food & drinks: No free breakfast and limited offerings at the restaurant. With so many places to eat nearby, Id ditch the bistro and offer free breakfast
