I would say it was better than expected. I had just arrived in New Jersey and I needed a place for a few nights I was tired and VERY aggravated. I went to check in and the front desk clerk said it was to early to check in!! He saw how tired and agitated I was I never gave any attitude towards him. The sweet gentleman let me check in early and I didn't have to pay the fee to check in early! The hotel rooms are clean and seeing that I have major OCD this is a HUGE plus for me. The only downside is that the room does not have a refrigerator or microwave. Being there for a extended nights I would've liked to be able to have kept my drinks cold, Other than that I was very pleased. I would stay again.

1. This is NOT a Holiday Inn.  2.  This place seems to be a family run hotel.3.  Facilities in the hotel seem to be decent.4.  Roads in the parking lot are terrible, get a rental car.5.  No breakfast available.

This place is terrible. First, they overbooked and had no single kings available, even though that is what we booked. Second, there was trash line through out the hallways and the floors are so uneven you can feel it when you walk. Third, the walls are paper then. We could hear everything that was going on in every room around us!! I would never stay here again.

Lots of things wrong with our room.  We had to pin the curtains to keep the light out, because they didn't close properly.  The water in the bathtub filled up when you ran the shower.  The TV was fine for a while then the channel you're watching goes extremely dark.  The vending machine for water on our floor didn't work.  The front desk person claimed it was out of water, but the lights on the machine clearly showed that it was still stocked.  The internet connection was a joke.  The people manning the desk did not look up to see their customers as they walked by to smile at them.  Maybe that was because the hotel is large and has a large number of guests.  I don't think I'll be back.  I'll look for another place.

This review is for the SOMERSET FAIRBRIDGE Hotel & Conference Center . ( it's no longer a holiday inn)My go to location for business and leisure. After 2-3 visits I' was greeted by name & welcomed back. I'm ALWAYS told " it's a pleasure to have you here"I'm ALWAYS greeted with a smile.  The snacks constantly rotate with a great selection. The hotel is always clean , once I got a bit cranky over the bathroom & was given complimentary breakfast.   I'm sure every one is treated great , but I definitely feel spoiled when I visit this establishment.   The Pub is great with happy hour  specials  , I always have to get the fries & clam chowder even if I'm on a diet. ( Quesadillas are bangin ! )   In summer The pool is awesome for a quick family stay-cation. ( it's outdoors - my child complains of the heavy chlorine smell of indoor hotel pools ) When extending my stay, they offered to match the price of the booking website. This is a happy place .
