I am approaching 60 years old and have always LOATHED going to the dentist (doesn't everyone?). I have always had sore, bleeding gums, always had a miserable time going to the dentist... but since Silver Spring Dental Arts came into my family's life about 5 years ago, I actually like going. They explain things and don't criticize, judge, or berate. They offer care options, like Invisalign, but don't hard-sell and have finally helped me figure out strategies to maintain my teeth that have cured my bleeding gums, etc. Plus - everyone is friendly, positive, and welcoming - and has a sense of humor - who wouldn't want to visit people you feel are not just your care-providers, but your friends?
Update: I chose to do Invisalign with Dr. Thompson and the team and could not be happier with the experience! A little more than a year into the process my teeth are easier to take care of because they don't horribly overlap anymore and my gums are in the best shape of my life. I actually LIKE how my smile looks instead of just ignoring it and I am happy with how my mouth feels. If you are wondering why Invisalign costs more than the cheap alternatives - it's the level of care you get from YOUR dentist - not a stranger... I am actually surprised that they can afford to do what they do for the cost after having monthly visits and quarterly re-scans for each next set of aligners.

I continue to be impressed with the care and professionalism from Dr. Thompson and her staff! This is a small office but you will receive big time service. I can't say enough about this office and I am just as pleased with the service every time I go. Thanks to Dr. Thompson and her team, my fear of dentists is a thing of the past. I'm also very impressed with the safety measures they've taken since reopening during this pandemic; not only to ensure patient safety but to ensure the safety of the staff as well. If you're looking for a dentist, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Thompson!
3/9/2022 - I feel like a broken record when talking about this dental office. I continue to experience the highest quality dental care along with the best office support I've ever had! I've had two crowns done and didn't experience significant pain from either procedure. Dr. Thompson and the staff are a joy! Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very easy to talk. Thank you, guys, for making going to the dentist so easy!
3/20/23 What can I say? The excellence from Dr. Thompson and her staff continue! I am always at ease, feel like they know me, and receive EXCELLENT care when being treated by Dr. Thompson. I can't express enough how thoroughly satisfied I am with this entire staff.
3/19/24 And the praise continues! Friendly, professional, caring, personable, etc.! I can't say enough good things about this office and continue to be overly impressed with Dr. Thompson and her staff.

Five stars. Dr. Thompson so cleverly kept my mind off the actual procedure of tooth replacement by describing in methodical detail what she was actually doing--somewhat surreal in retrospect. I'm very pleased with her treatment Her staff is very considerate. Best wishes, John Mason
