I was really excited to work with them. I emailed a couple times and never heard back. Finally, I got a meeting with a managing partner. He offered a little advice and after a follow up email and phone call to them went unanswered. I got ghosted. I guess I'm too poor for their services. Wish they would've just told me.

Exceptional client care. Very knowledgeable team, they listened to my concerns and needs and took the time to explain all of my options and thoroughly answered my questions. The staff is always warm and welcoming, including their puppy Sasha. Highly recommend.

I felt really mixed and dissapointed about the three meetings with the advisor I and a friend met with. He was a nice enough guy and I felt he was probably good at what he does, but he was difficult to communicate with, his attention to detail was lacking and he contradicted what he told us sometimes from one meeting to the next ( we had three meetings with him). I went with a friend who had twice as much money and even though both of our monies are significant, it became all about getting my friend to sign on and some of my questions were just ignored until the end of the third meeting where after my friend signed with him, he asked if I had any questions and I repeated the ones I'd been asking and he half heartedly answered my questions about costs to change accounts over to him and blamed me for the fact that he couldn't answer the tax questions (as my account numbers were blacked out). The interesting thing was, I had asked these questions after our first meeting and he said he'd have the answers ready the next meeting, but he didn't and instead the second time I asked said, well if you're interested going to come on board, your going to change anyway and why worry about the cost of getting off a sinking ship on to a more secure one (my investments have been keeping up with the market or done better, but they were higher risk than they should be for a down market). Then the third meeting he blamed me for his not answering the questions stating that I hadn't given him the account numbers so he couldn't answer the questions! He's had the paperwork for my accounts for the last month and three meetings, yet, he never once said to me, I need your account numbers or I need different paperwork to answer all your questions as what you've given me. He did however manage to create a whole presentation complete with forcast of earnings and deficits with what he had from me. When at the third meeting, I asked him about the withdrawal forecasts on the first meeting, as I was concerned with the small margin I had with the amount I could safely withdraw and still see my money grow as compared to withdrawing a larger amount where it would erode my investments, he told me those predictions didn't mean anything as so many things affected them (!). I was a bit confused and alot frustrated, at that point and asked him why he used them and showed them to us then if they weren't accurate and felt I didn't know which of the things that he'd told us, to believe. My friend didn't feel the need to know as many details and signed on with him.

Our experience with Watermark has been extremely positive for over 3 years. They not only listened to our needs, they strategized an income stream as well as updated our wills and our living trusts. Our return last year was exceptional and it has made an easy transition into retirement. My wife and I highly recommend Watermark!
