I have only lived here for a year but I will not be renewing my lease management is a joke and so is their maintenance I have complained several times about kids sitting on the stairs playing loud music and smoking and I was told to call the courtesy officer who lives at the apartments I called twice and the officer never even answered thank God I wasn't being murdered and then when I called again to complain she said that she had been over there too many times and she was not going to go again I do not recommend anybody living here if you want peace and quiet find somewhere else I can assure you you can

I would not recommend anyone to live here at all! We stayed here for a total of 13 months and the a/c was horrible during the summers. It is not a safe neigbhorhood. Its the ghetto! We also got our broken into TWICE! SO IF YOU HAVE A NICE CAR, RIMS, ETC... DON'T LIVE HERE! Our car was broken into both times on Memorial Day weekend. We don't what it is about this side of Abercorn but everyone has had their cars broken into around that area. The buildings are very old too, we had to pay for our window cracking and we never touched it. The window had small cracks around the edges that you wouldn't notice unless you looked very closely and it caused the window to form a big crack on one side.

If you have very low expectations, this is the perfect place for you. I have lived here for only two months and I can not wait to move out already. Every time I get a shower, no matter if it is ten minutes or twenty minutes, the tub NEVER drains. I have to physically scoop the water out of the tub into the toilet to get rid of the bath water. And no, I am not exaggerating. After complaining about the drainage problem to the staff, they sent over the maintenance man with sulfur liquid to pour down the drain, which of course did not work AT ALL, and made the apartment smell like sulfur for a week. Every time I wash my hair and try to blow dry it (what a joke!!!) The fuse in the breaker box is a piece of shit, the breaker pops every 30 seconds and it takes me nearly an hour to get my hair dry. The neighbor above me stole our bike one day, and only returned it because we caught him on it. The laundromat is another JOKE. The washers are always broken, and just this morning every single washer was occupied so we waited until there were two available. When we returned, however, to move our laundry from the washers to the dryers, We walked in on another resident removing OUR CLOTHES from the washer and throwing them on the table because he didn't want to be patient and wait like we had to. The rent is nearly 700$ for a one bedroom apartment (and I am not spoiled by no means, a very humble person), but I feel as though I am living in a closet. Very tiny, and not worth the money. The roof in the bathroom leaks water because the people above us apparently either have a leaky shower head, or they continuously let their baths overflow. I do not feel safe here, I am never here alone. Parking is a nightmare because many residents have unauthorized vehicles frequently occupying spaces, and I often have to park on the other side of the complex. The staff is not as friendly as the reviews on the edgewater trace website claim. Beware. Do your research.
