A year ago I decided to attend the English service not knowing anyone. Not to consider that I was a new believer and the only one in my family. At that time I lived in Costa Mesa and although i had gone to a couple different churches within the area, I was really looking to grow because I knew that there was more to then just accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior (which happened in my room). I did not know where to start but I had a hunger for Christ. I prayed for the Lord to place me at a church where I can grow, well I found myself at Templo Calvario and from the start my experience was different. Immediately, I felt a connection with the first person who greeted me and comfortable. I'm sitting in the second row and people are shaking my hand welcoming me with such joy. As soon as the worship team began to sing I felt the Holy Spirit just flooding upon us. I am embracing this beautiful feeling, I find myself crying. It was beautiful, nothing I had ever experienced. The word was powerful, of substance that It was so incredible to acknowledge every single detail from start to finish because the word of God was powerful that it made me want to go back. The Holy Spirit really spoke to me two weeks later because within a month I find myself proclaiming my salvation through baptism. Everything else folded it like God had planned. I need to stay busy in the evenings since I was recovering from addiction and I also want to seek God. This church not only became my rehab (in my opinion) but they became my family and now it's my home. I have grown so much within a year but I would have never be able to do it alone because God knew I needed people to love me to understand me to be there for me and he did. He brought me to this church that would go out of their way to pick me up when I didn't have a car. Who actually showed me they care through their actions. Who I witnessed give so much to the community and most importantly a church who cares for the people that they go above and beyond for those who need a place they can be themselves and be safe at the same time. I was lost when I first came to Christ but God has found me and taken me to a church where he knows their hearts are in the right place. For it is written that those who seek God will listen to those who find him he will answer to and those who knock he will open the door too. All glory to God and for his people for we are one body for one purpose. So come as you are! Because that's exactly what I did. God bless you everyone

The congregation is so accepting, non judgmental, and friendly. The services are heartfelt and always different with a great message. They always have fun and different activities and events going on. My 4 year old loves going to church school where they get a snack, activity, and outdoor play time. In 2009, after my old church rejected my family and I, this became our 2nd home. And even though we are not as involved as I wish, I still feel a part of this congregation.
