I had menudo very sad bowl for $15 with 10 pieces of tripe and 8 homney and lot of juice family had breakfast plates that were sad looking i should went to El Jardin. We stopped here on way to Monterey from Modesto this place use to be awesome the quality and quantity has gone really bad the Bartender made a horrible Michelada too.

Food was bland, no real authentic flavor. My Cadillac Margarita came with a paper straw!

Very good, the best in town for Mexican food! Great service! Very good selection of draft beer including offering from local brewery. Unbeatable prices.

Excellent food choice's, buffet on Sunday just grand. Had a small gathering on short notice of about 15 people, seated side dining area, a were afforded the most wonderful service. Also a clean environment and clean restrooms. Quiet and quaint town with great shops, stores and sights (Small state park, mission), but the gem is most assuredly, Dona Esther's. The entire wait staff were so kind, the service was great, and food prices not bad, food choices numerous. The decor made you feel a part of days gone by, complimented by the storefronts and San Juan Bautista Mission.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Where should I start, the hostess very negative towards getting us a table for a large party of eleven people. We waited for one hour. Then we were sat in a room with a very large party who was SO loud we couldn't hear our selves think. The waitress took our order from the foot of the table, she wouldn't move, we can to Scream out our orders. Unbelievable. Then to make things worse, it was 2pm, they ran out of eggs? But they serve breakfast all day??? Food was nothing to be excited about, it is Americanized Mexican. We asked for tortillas that came with our food and the waitress was arguing how many she had brought out, we later came to find out they RAN OUT of tortillas! At a Mexican restaurant! What!! (I suggested she go buy some down the street) Will NEVER go back or recommend. Hell no.
