* Safeway delivery doesn't deliver *
I ordered my food delivery on 3/9/24. It's 3/11/24 and I still haven't received my order! I have spoken to customer service multiple times, called the store directly 12 times and left a message for the district manager, Beverly Gendolfo, and still nothing. I spoke to the online order representative from the Almaden Safeway online order service in San Jose. The gentleman told me "we don't have it ready for you yet, but we can set-up a delivery for tomorrow (3/12/24)". Then he said they found it and he can door dash the order to me. He told me it will take 45 minutes; the delivery showed up 1 hour and 43 minutes later! This isn't the first time orders have been late by hours or even days! If you ask for a refund they don't give it to you for 7 days, yet the money was taken out of my account promptly on 3/9/24 the time of order. Why use this service of it doesn't give you service. Why call customer service if they can give you no help. Why place an order and set a delivery time that fits into your schedule if they can change it to when it's convenient for them. Why use this delivery service at all?

This place is so policed and locked down, I feel like I have done something wrong while shopping. They have 24 carts, which the manager is happy to share because if youre unhappy you really just need to understand hes having a hard time too. I was followed to my car by 3 people (other customers and the one random homeless man who collects the carts for them) who then stood, staring at me, while I unloaded the cart so they could take it immediately. When speaking with the manager about how this made me feel unsafe I got yeah that sucks, I have no carts, and corporate knows, I have emails spanning months. Corporate knows customers are being followed to their cars?! And then he ends it by saying carts will be delivered the next day. Instead of showing some compassion and understanding and following up with, yes we are actively working to resolve this issue, Im sorry you experienced that, I got, tell me what I should do, give me a solution.
