This review is long overdue. We used Lima and Campagna Mortuary to coordinate my uncle's funeral in December and were highly satisfied with their services. During that difficult time of mourning, they assisted us with details that were required in preparing for a funeral such as casket and flower selection, viewing, coordinations with the local church, police escort to cemetery, and burial; no details were forgotten. Uncle's funeral was unique in that he was a priest and hundreds, if not thousands of mourners from the Vietnamese-American community were anticipated to attend. Everything had to be perfect, and there were no room for mistakes. Needless to say, Uncle's funeral was beautiful and something that he would have approved of. Thank you Lima and Campagna Mortuary, and farewell Uncle!

I never thought I would be reviewing a mortuary for their services but I am compelled to do so. Of course I have been to funeral services before, though I never had to personally hire a mortuary until a few weeks ago when our father passed. Needless to say, the grief associated with losing a loved one makes the entire process stressful , but the people of Lima and Campagna are special. They are compassionate and heart warming. Their professionalism was so genuine that we had complete confidence in everything they did . Vince Lima is so aware of every little detailand his relationships with churches in Northern California ,of every denomination, made it easy to be certain that we were doing everything right . He literally managed the entire process with love which is what is needed when you are grieving such a loss . One of his partners, Sam Campagna, is another beautiful soul who made sure that our Dad looked like our Dad .  People may take such things for granted but when you're going through it , it means the world . God bless these people and their business which is clearly more than a business to them! Your family and friends will be in good hands with them.

It seems odd to be reviewing a Funeral Home, but I am going to join the throngs of 5-star reviewers for this business.  Where do I start? Well, from my very first call (when my husband started hospice). I had no clue what I was doing, or what to ask, but Vince was professional, compassionate, and informative.  He gave me pointers on how to purchase a burial plot, and offered additional helpful tips.  As we ended the call he offered "Call me anytime with questions - even if you don't select us."  Who does that?!Lima-Campagna-Alameda does!(I love that they truly are Family Owned)I'd looked at other funeral homes and then met with Angelo (also at Lima) - with my friend in tow. He was equally warm and helpful, and we even managed to share some laughs (thanks to my friend).  And after seeing their facilities, the decision was made.  Yes, it was a funeral home, but it just felt "right." Very warm and soothing (I know that sounds weird!).Hubby passed much sooner than expected, but we ended up making the final arrangements with Vince (Angelo was sad he couldn't be there that day!).I had taken their advice about finding a plot, and purchasing a casket. They saved me literally thousands of dollars (no joke!).  Mind you, funerals ain't cheap - and Lima is not the cheapest (they're definitely not the most expensive either!), but they got us through the whole process as smoothly and painlessly as possible.  And I never once felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed to death (can't say the same for some other mortuaries).  They don't even make you pay to play your own slide-show/music on the big screen TV during visitation.My husband's funeral was yesterday and it was absolutely perfect in every way.  We'd emailed a recent pic to them, and they did an amazing job of making him look very natural.  While I hope to not do business with them again (at least not anytime soon!), I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to Vince, Angelo, and the team at Lima-Campagna-Alameda Funeral Home!
