One morning I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment while walking my dog. I also didnt have my phone. I walked into First Republic unsure if they would be willing to help me or even let me inside with a dog (it was freezing outside). Not only did they give me a comfy seat inside, they had dog treats for the pup, and the security guard was so nice and let me use his cell phone to make multiple phone calls. They really felt like a local neighborhood establishment. I am extremely grateful they were so kind to me during my mini-crisis.

This review is specifically written in appreciation of the outstanding experiences I've had with Ms. Yvonne Tan, the Senior Managing Director of the Laurel Heights branch of First Republic Bank in San Francisco. After very frustrating encounters with a large neighboring bank (which incidentally has been my primary bank for decades), I contacted First Republic Bank and spoke with Ms. Tan about establishing a business account. She scheduled an appointment to meet with me first thing the very next morning and since then, throughout all our interactions, she exemplifies the high-touch consultative values First Republic is known for.  Ms. Tan spent time getting to know me and understand my goals, and she patiently explained everything that was needed  to establish the business account. The result? In a matter of days my account was in place. Thank you, Ms. Tan, for your savvy, personal warmth and energetic "can do" attitude. You gave me the generous gift of your time, something I never experienced at my soon-to-be former bank.

Going to this branch is like attending a party. What sets this bank apart from others is the respect and courteous attitude from the staff. No matter what kind of day theyre having theyre always friendly and patient. Cliff, is a diamond. He helped me with a deposit and I saw the credit to my account in two days. I wish more employees are more like him, he exemplifies excellent customer service and is a true professional.
Annie Lui and Gavin Chin are exemplary bankers. They both are professional, courteous, patient, and give excellent service. Gavin notarized my trust and no banker couldve done a better job. No matter how overwhelmed they may be, they always give excellent thorough service.

Gavin was very patient and professional. He notarized my trust and it was labor intensive as there were six documents plus he had to perfuse and go through the entire trust.  He's a model employee. He's always courteous and respectful to all his clients. Employees like Gavin are far and few between, wish more employees could model  after his work ethic.
