Excellent, excellent specialty surgeon (and I'm a doc, so I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly). Dr. Cirangle gets significantly better outcomes than so many others.

Dr. Cirangle is an excellent bariatric surgeon. My surgery was in 2011 at Good Sam Hospital bariatric specialty unit. A fantastic hospital with top notch care. Dr. Cirangle and his staff were easy to communicate with and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Cirangle provided the after care at his Templeton CA office once a month for a couple of years. He really cares about the patient's health and outcome following the surgery.
He closely monitors the patient recovery and weight loss, making sure that the patient is getting proper nutrition and excercise for a successful and healthy weightloss. I lost 100 lbs following the surgery and my health greatly improved.
Carrying all that extra weight damaged my body and I have had subsequent surgeries on my knee and back as a result. I wish I had done the sleeve gastrectomy many years earlier.

I had an extremely hard time getting ahold of them the first time. I left messages 2 times, and it took 2 weeks to hear back. Scheduled an appointment, show up and their office was moved and nobody knew anything. There was also another lady there looking for them, she didn't know they had moved either. Had my first appointment with him and ended up doing monthly phone appointments because I lived an hour away. I called in June for my monthly phone appointment, I missed his call back and called him within five minutes. He never called back, I left at least five messages on his cell phone, calling once a week. The office phone always goes to an answering machine, it was full every time I tried to call, I sent multiple emails, I've never heard a word since. I was supposed to have my surgery in October, would have been nice to hear something from someone. The fact that they were so hard to get a hold of, moved offices without telling anyone, and the other lady that was looking for their office was two weeks post surgery, she told me to get copies of everything from all my other appointments because they lost every single piece of paperwork, I guess I shouldn't have expected much from them . 🙁

I wanted to thank you for helping me get my life back, you not only did a fantastic job with the surgery you help me every step of the way. You made sure I understood it was my responsibility to track my food and fluid intake and your Office staff did a great job supporting me along the way.
On the day of the surgery the Nurse that was preparing me with the IV stated that your orders were she only gets one attempt at installing the needle and if she failed she is to send me up to surgery without it, from that moment on I knew you cared about the care that I was to receive and wanted only the best for me. Other indications that only the best would do was the fact that you had the second bed removed from my room and had furniture brought in so that my friends and family would be comfortable when they came to visit.
My recovery after the surgery was unbelievable, although you provided me pain medication I did not find it necessary to use any, I was not in any pain. Third day post-surgery I was walking to the Bay. Two weeks later I joined the gym and started swimming, 4 weeks post-surgery I started lifting light weights and working out on the elliptical. 85 days post-surgery I look forward to going to the Gym every day. Although I am taking it very slow at the Gym, it is helping me to feel great.
Now the best news of all, not only have I lost 85LBS since Dec 1st I am off all Diabetic Medications and my morning blood sugar is 85 to 95. I no longer have sleep apnea and I am no longer taking Motrin for back pain.
The other day I put on a Navy shirt that was issued to me 39 years ago and I never in my wildest dreams thought that would happen! Having this surgery was the best decision I could have made and having you perform it was the next best decision. Thank you Dr. Cirangle and thanks to your staff I am doing and feeling fantastic!
