Would give 0 stars if possible. This office is impossible to get a hold of, messed up refills on my medication multiple times, cancelled my appointment on multiple occasions, and then refused to refill a medication due to an appointment that THEY cancelled. Worse customer service possible, already switching my primary due to this.

Honestly the worst place Ive ever been to. Im currently a patient. Costumer service is non existent- you can call at 7-12-4-3 and no one answer or they are always during break or theyre out already. They dont call you to remind you of your appointment and once you see the doctor he just says hi and send you do labs .. and there it goes your x amount of copay money for a 3 minute session that he does nothing. Lol not even check your heart rate. Currently looking for another doctor.

I've been going to Dr Joseph Allen now for over 10 years and and can say each experience has been excellent, professional and helpful which includes his staff from nurses and receptionists

It is with mixed feelings that I write this negative review and therefore wanted to start with positives. I have seen both Dr Allen and Dr Hayes and have received great care from them. Dr Allen is my official PCP but I was seen by Dr Hayes due to them "squeezing" me in which I greatly appreciated. The front desk has also been welcoming and accommodating at each visit.
My frustration is with their referral specialist. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 5 months. We were successful once before and at that time had some issues with our OBGYN referral. Unfortunately this pregnancy did not make it to term. I am once again pregnant and it was with great excitement I saw Dr Hayes for my referral. During my visit he referred to the previous referral issue and acknowledged the office would be on top of things this time. Unfortunately the same issue happened, which led me to call the office on Monday 6/5. I provided them with the proper code needed and a Doctor's name that was associated with UCSD which was provided to me by the USCD receptionist. The referral issue in short is that they had sent the referral with incorrect codes, had incorrectly marked me as a high risk pregnancy and sent the referral to a doctor that was not associated with UCSD OBGYN clinic. I was told this would take 3-5 days to process. After 4 days I called the UCSD office to check in, the receptionist informed me that nothing was pending and encouraged me to call my PCP office, this was now 6/9. I called them and spoke with the same referral specialist who told me she had been unable to send the correct referral because the Doctor's name I had provided was not "showing up". She told me she had called me and left a voicemail to highlight this and any delay was my fault because I had not returned her call. As my phone record can prove, I never received a call from the office let alone a voicemail. This brings up potential HIPAA violations as she stated some details of my referral were included in the voicemail and if she made a phone call it was not to my number (I confirmed with the reception that they had my correct number which they did). I received no apologies for the delay, the fault was placed on me despite never having received a call and no empathy towards the fact that I am now 8 weeks pregnant (I first saw Dr Hayes for my referral at 4.5 weeks) without any reassurance of the health of my pregnancy.
I want to share my story because this experience has been unnecessary stressful during what I hope will be my first successful pregnancy. I would not wish this experience on any new moms to be and would of loved to have been aware of these shortcomings prior to depending on them to be able to receive prenatal care in a timely manner.
