Brother took elk here for processing. Was amazed that we were quoted 2 dollar a pound for deboned meat and 0.95 cents a pound for bone in meat. Simply a way to make extra profit since they don't get to charge hang weight for bone. Next they didn't listen at all to the packaging instructions. Now we're stuck with a ton of small package of 0.5 to 1 pound packages of burger. Steaks and roasts cut for 1-2 serving sizes. Will never take another animal to these guy. Our other elk was processed at 0.85 cents per pound.

Had a great experience with them. Was able to drop off on a sunday and they had my elk back to me in 5 days. They double wrap in plastic and paper and everything was tightly wrapped.

When I asked about the amount of processed meat I received back, they got really defensive. Turns out I got 85 pounds of processed meat off my cow elk. I dropped off 85 pounds of clean, deboned meat AND 87 pounds of bone in meat on two quarters.
I know you lose a lot of weight when processing, but I dont know how I lose half of what I dropped off. I hope this isn't normal.
