I used to buy pecan logs from Helen Grace Candies in Southern California. Unfortunately they went out of business several years ago. The typical pecan log center consists of a white mushy nougat whereas the Helen Grace pecan log center was made of a caramel fudge. For years I've searched for a pecan log made the way Helen Grace made theirs and I finally found it at Fernwood Candy. Thank you Fernwood!!​

Made a special point of locating Fernwood's in the Park Center. What a joke!! Two weeks before Christmas & wanted to buy 8 oz milk chocolate mints. I'm sure one of the most Fernwood popular items. Yep! NONE available without ordering! What??? Obviously, Fernwood's could care less about their reputation. Clerk handed me a blank piece of paper that I was to mark down my order. How can I write a order without product name, size & cost!?! There was more holiday decor than available candy to buy! I bought a pkg of cashew bark - highly overpriced for quantity in the pkg (4 pieces almost $7!! And, I get to go back hopefully next week & pick up my order!! Never again!!
