In my opinion the purpose of rain gutters is to move the water away from the foundation of that home. The goal of leaf guards is to allow the gutters to perform there job even in fall when the trees drop their leaves. In a nutshell rain water goes into the gutters and leaves will not prevent this process. I had "Addi continuous gutters" install new gutters with leaf screens. One raining day I opened my front door to let in a friend and saw a stream of water spilling over my gutters. The product they installed was not able to perform its task with just ONE tree involved. I called them and a crew came out, removed the leaves with a warning they will not do it again. When I called the owner, he told me nothing was wrong with the product (it was performing it job) and what his crew had done to clear the leaves I would have to do. What good is leaf protection if it does not work? DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT. IT WILL NOT WORK.
