image My actual exam was great. Efficient and thorough without being rushed. Customer service was horrendous. Never called when my glasses came in. Called to check on status and automated system said there was no update available and to call back in 3-5 days. When I called back I spoke to a person who said "oops, they've been here for over a month and we just forgot to call you." Went to pick them up within stated hours od operation and store was closed for "employee lunch". Not mad at employees on this - they deserve a break, but there was only one person working in the whole store so they had to close?!

image I went to this place for an eye exam, glasses, and contacts. It was the cheaper of options in the area, but I guess you get what you pay for. Some staff were pushy and did not listen to any of my requests for vision wear or contacts.
The front staff was polite, nice to deal with all through the main testing -I did not feel pressured at all- but when it came to the back room for a telehealth visit with the doctor all staff involed completely ignored what I wanted and did everything they could to make a 50-80$ exam as expensive as possible and to sell me unneeded lenses as well. Ending the visit with a intensity that was discomforting for picking out a simple set of glasses and contacts I could not get out fast enough.
Firstly they said my close vision was bad so they could sell more expensive lenses and to upcharge the exam itself. I do not and have never needed bifocals or reading glasses of any sort. When the close chart came up I could read fine, but before I could read the line the lady- on a screen- doing that portion of the exam stated she would switch to a setting to help me read, again to make the exam more expensive, when kthere was no change at all to my ability to read the letters.
Secondly, When discussing contacts I stated repeatedly that comfort was my most important factor with lenses with light sensitivity being the second. I was told I need bifocals again- but this time by the eye doctor. This again was an upsale, I did not need bifocals. I needed daily or 2 week contacts, but was pressured into month contacts of a particular brand and style. I asked for more comfortable ones and again was given contacts that were not the most comfortable.
In the end I paid $80 and received no trial contacts, a 2 week wait for trial lenses, and being asked several times to purchase glasses that I had bearly 5 minutes to look at while we waited 15 minutes for the telehealth doctor to be late to my appointment. The woman even had contacts out the doctor said to try for me but when I asked for another to compare them to suddenly they were "not able to give them to me because the eye doc did not perscribe them", when a few minutes earlier the doctor did just that.
I have had less pressure to buy things at a carnival and more listening to my needs from pretty much any establishment I can think of as a customer. I highly recommend that you try a different place, the extra $20 you spend on the exam will likely get you a more professional visit. I liked a pair of glasses and planned on buying and 1 year of contacts from here. You CAN NOT even trust the prescription you receive. I will take my prescription to another place, while hoping the prescription is not altered far beyond my actual eye sight so Visionworks could charge more for a "difficult eye" examination.
