Rooms: Very elegant in early 20th century furnishings. Great views from our room windows and balcony.
Nearby activities: Ferry to St. Georges Island, Oak Grove Cemetary, St. Mary's History Park, sub museum and restaurants and bars all within walking distance.
Walkability: Old hotel, no elevators.

Shauna is also really great. Very polite and friendly, and a problem solver. We will be back here every time we visit the island.
The hotel is right on the main street in downtown St Mary's. It's central to all restaurants, shops, museums, the national parks center, and the cumberland island ferry.
The rooms are all cute, and each room has a theme based on a historical figure.
Seagles restaurant is good too. The Crab cakes are great. After a week of backpacking, we like to keep it close to home the last night of our trip. So the restaurant and bar downstairs is very convenient and it's good. Ice cream across the street is nice, and it's really nice to sit outside and look out at the water.
Nearby activities: Cumberland Island national park is a must see. Several museums within walking distance, as well as several great restaurants and bars.
Walkability: Hotel is within walking distance of everything downtown
Food & drinks: Hotel is central to all the downtown restaurants
Noteworthy details: A bar a few doors down does loud live music, some rooms get the full concert through the windows. The front staff are great about swapping rooms if they have one available
