This has very easily become one of my favorite Marriott properties when I come to St. Louis. It's conviently located in the middle of downtown, it is reasonably priced, and the staff is warm, friendly, and so helpful; from the valet, to the front desk, to housekeeping. I had such a great stay and I'm looking forward to my next one.
Walkability: It's in the middle of downtown.

Some staff members stood out for their friendly demeanor and helpfulness, while others seemed to be merely occupying space. It's disheartening to see a contrast between those who genuinely care about their job and those who don't. The rooms are decent, equipped with a full kitchen, and the gym is minimalist at best. A bar is available downstairs in the lobby that gets interesting, and the location in the heart of downtown is convenient, being a short walk from the convention center and neighborhood market, as well as various restaurants. Despite encountering a mix of experiences, my first visit to St. Louis was enjoyable, and I appreciated the city and its people.

Beautiful hotel with a great history. If the walls could talk, they would. You can just feel the strong presence of this hotel. Built somewhere around 1929.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Always attentive and kind. The food was really good. I ate breakfast here every morning for my 5 day stay. It was that good that I kept coming back. Also Starbucks right there so its nice to have your drinks available.
Only strange thing Ill say about my stay at this hotel is the energy. Every night around 3AM I would wake up wide awake. The place definitely felt like it was a bit haunted. I never saw anything, but my coworkers would say they saw shadows move out of the corner of their eye. Also I know they have had paranormal professionals come in to confirm the ghost presence they wont harm you! But I definitely felt ghost presence at this hotel! That being said, I would stay again.
