Made the first available appointment, waited a week and drove to get there. Walked in and the receptionist informed they are no longer taking Aetna vision insurance (I found this eye Dr on the Aetna website) but will take my Tricare medical insurance. But that an eye prescription would cost me $60. I left and called Aetna to complain, but they looked it up and this provider is listed as having an active contract with Aetna. So the receptionist is uninformed or the provider hasn't ended the contract but won't file with Aetna?
Finding somewhere that isn't so confused.

Beware medicare patient about complete eye exam and Refraction, as per medicare complete eye exam should cover Refraction(vision check) but doctor bill separate for Refraction which Medicare or any supplement insurance not going to pay and you end up paying $60 from your pocket!

I was previously a patient here. Firstly, the receptionist was very rude and had an attitude when I tried to schedule my appointment. This gave me a bad impression of the practice before I came in for my appointment. Secondly, the appointment was not helpful. They could not drain my stye and told me to see a plastic surgeon if I wanted the capsule removed. However, they did not tell me this until my second appointment so that they could bill my insurance twice for an eye exam.

saw Dr. amy Nicolas and was extremely happy. She found an issue that had been bothering me for three years and was missed by several other opthamology practices. Immaculate office, kind office staff.
